* $40 per hour unapproved late checkout fee.

*Any guests beyond the number listed on your itinerary will be charged a $50 per person per night penalty. We reserve the right to terminate your stay without refund if you exceed the maximum occupancy (#guests)

*CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT: - Check-in is after 4pm, and check-out is by 10am. Arriving slightly earlier, or want that extra hour to sleep? Should be fine, but please check with me first.

*OCCUPANCY: - I understand that for a whole verity of reasons, you may want additional guests to stay in the place. In the event that you want additional guests to stay, please contact me to let me know. I’m reasonable and will accommodate wherever possible.

*AGE REQUIREMENTS: - There is a minimum age requirement of 21+. Guests under the age of 21 are still entirely welcome – they will just need to be accompanied by parents or guardians.

*NO SMOKING: - There is no smoking of any kind in the house. If you need to smoke, you can step out to the curb and pocket your butt.

*DRUGS: Illicit drugs - What you do in your personal time is entirely up to you, but when staying at my place I have a strict no drug use policy. This is just the law… not so much one of my rules.

*BEHAVIOR: - If you’re coming to Hagerstown to party you’ve picked a great area to do so. Unfortunately, just not at my place. Though I`m sure it won’t come to it, serious complaints of unruly behavior will, unfortunately, result in you being asked to leave. Not good for you. Not good for me. Any excessive necessary cleaning is subject to an additional cleaning fee.

*DAMAGE: - I understand that accidents happen. But I do ask that you please let me know when they do. Chances are I can fix them as effortlessly as possible which also means better chances of having your full security deposit returned too.

*BARBEQUE/GRILLING: - Unfortunately since it’s a multi-unit building grilling of any kind is strictly prohibited. Even outside on the patio, in or near the building (this includes gas and charcoal grills). Violating this rule will result in forfeiture of security deposit and you may be asked to vacate.

*CLEANLINESS: - Whilst I do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, I kindly ask that prior to leaving, you put any dirty dishes or kitchenware used in the sink and put used towels on the floor by the laundry closet. It helps us get through the cleaning process quicker and allows me to keep cleaning costs down for you and future guests.

*AMENITIES: - The easiest way to disrupt an enjoyable stay is a plumbing problem. To prevent this, we kindly ask you to please place things like sanity napkins in the sanitary bin we’ve provided in the bathroom. We simply want to ensure you have a royal flush kind of holiday :)

*ELECTRICITY: - To keep our costs down (and pass those savings on to our guests) we kindly ask that you switch off lights and the A/C or heating when it’s not in use or leaving the house. Mother nature thanks you too.

*SECURITY: - To ensure full safety of my guest’s belongings, please keep the front door locked as a precautionary measure. Whilst being one of the safe areas of town, I want to ensure every guest stay remains problem free, and this is just one small + simple thing we’re able to do to ensure that.

*ACCESS: - Please help avoid problems for everybody and stay out of locked closets and cabinets.

*NOISE: - To be considerate to the other residents/guests, I kindly ask to keep things on the quieter-side after 10 pm. And if you want to listen to music, please remember others and enjoy via headphones or in your personal space.

*LAUNDRY: - Washer and Dryer use is available for guests staying for a week or longer. If you use the dryer, please clean the lint trap after each use.

The condo was very clean. The stairs were no problem for our crew but could be an issue to anyone older or not in shape. The Check in process was easy and we had a great overall stay.

Great history!

We stayed 2 nights in this cute 4th floor apartment. It looks exactly the same in the photos. The historic home is really beautiful and the modern upgrades with fantastic air conditioning made our July stay very pleasant. I especially enjoyed sitting out on the little back deck in the morning. Yes, it is an older home so it has some quirks, but go in with an open mind and soak up the experience of this historic part of Hagerstown.

Great stay!

Very nice apartment in historic location near the center of town. Rooms (especially the main living space/living room) were a bit cold due to it being an old, probably poorly insulated building, and the bedrooms could have used more blankets for a winter stay, but otherwise very comfortable.the

Short and sweet stay

Traveling from Illinois to New Hampshire for our road trip. This Vrbo in Hagerstown Maryland was in a beautiful historic district and the inside was absolutely beautiful. We did climb the 4 flights of stairs with 2 large suit cases which was not fun but it was a great way to stay in shape at 60 😂. Inside was so clean and adorable with the original floors, yet updated kitchen & living area. The bedrooms were very cozy and comfortable. The bathroom was large with a huge walk in shower and Amazing antique claw foot tub. We truly enjoyed our time and highly recommend

Enjoyed the apartment. Cozy, well-equipped. Accurate apartment pictures! Comfortable beds. Would stay again if this unit was on the ground floor. Four flights of stairs(35 steps) were difficult for us with luggage, etc.

Perfect Base for Our Tour of History

This apartment was perfect for our history vacation. The unit was clean, with all the amenities needed to enjoy our week. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet. On street parking was convenient and we always found an empty spot right in front of the building. We used this as our base to visit DC, Gettysburg, Antietam and Harper’s Ferry.

Convenient location, good for a short stay

Overall, this was fine for a two day stay. It was conveniently located near shopping and the museum, with a seamless check in process. Only a few points kept this from being a full five star rating. One, the place had a very musty smell. I know this is an old building, but buy a couple of cinnamon brooms to deal with the smell. Two, put some light blocking shades in the main bedroom. I tried to sleep there, but the street light was right in my face, shining through the mini blinds. Fix those two issues, and this place will earn five stars.

Visiting family in the area

The property owner is very responsive and accommodating Contactless check in was a breeze and the property description was accurate. This top floor unit is in a historic home in one of the nicer areas of Hagerstown. The unit is tastefully decorated with modern amenities, was spacious and was a nice alternative to staying in a hotel. The floors are creaky (old houses always are) so light sleepers may need to pack a device for white noise. There are 4 flights of stairs to navigate up to the unit but this was not an issue for our family. The property is just a few blocks from the Art Museum in City Park, the Maryland theater and restaurants on Potomac St. (We got some good take out from a new restaurant, Prohibition Hub. They have live music and a rooftop patio. )
