Great shower but for those who hire car this is not the right hotel as they don’t have parking it’s all off street parking so try your luck otherwise when your come late night you struggle Sauna was not working , so was the indoor swimming pool Room was never cleaned before 4pm only 1/2 staff per floor Well just beer thwse points in mind when booking Novotel Malta

The place is a building site. Dirty and noisy and dangerous. Staff rude and unprofessional. We tried to soak to management but after over s month off silence we imagine we won't get a response. Terrible experience especially as we paid 4* prices for it. AVOID IT

All round decent. But the street outside can get noisy with cars or motorbikes. Location is near sea front so benefits from shoos and restaurants. Inside the dinner buffet is OK but food quality isn't the best. The English of some waitering staff isn't great. Air con inside restaurant is too strong...makes the food go cold.

The property is 85% ready. It’s a new building but full of on-going interior work and issues. The corridors and bedrooms have plaguing air pressure issues. Air vents in the rooms are extremely loud and cannot be rectified without technician support. Check-in was late and our room wasn’t clean. The cleaning staff failed to replace dirty towels without being chased. Our bathrooms also didn’t have hanging rails for the towels. The downstairs pool wasn’t open yet for use. We’re appreciative that it’s brand new but this did impact our experience. I’d suggest looking for a different hotel until they’re officially 100% ready.

I was a bit unsure at first because of some of the bad reviews, but I’m glad I went for it. The hotel is brand new and you can feel it, everything works well and looks fresh. Since it’s a soft opening, a few things aren’t finished yet (like the gym door missing and small details around the place), but nothing major. I did notice some workers improving things here and there during the day, even using hand tools around 11am, but it wasn’t a big issue and noise was quite minimal . The pool area is fantastic, staff are super friendly, and for the price it’s a solid choice. Breakfast could be better, especially during peak hours when it feels understaffed and crowded, but overall it’s definitely worth staying here.

Lovely hotel rooms very big and quiet massive bed. Staff very helpful. Lovely large roof top pool overlooking bay the only negative is the sun loungers get fully taken in the mornings but usually able to get one in the afternoons, it was noted that some beds have towels placed on them but you dont see anyone using them. Pool towels are supplied when you go to the pool. You cant take your own drinks to pool as theres a bar and you're expected to buy from them. The only negative is it's new hotel and advertised indoor pool which is one of the reasons i booked this hotel, unfortunately this was not open and they had no idea when it would be ready. Plenty of eateries and shops in walking distance and brilliant bus services running regularly at bottom of street on the main road a few minutes walk.to bottom of street.

At our time of stay (Beginning to Mid September 2025) the hotel was incomplete, and still in the process of being built/finished. From what has been done so far, it will be an incredible hotel, but our time featured some teething issues (understandable!!) and facilities being advertised, but not completed yet - no sauna, no spa, no gym, etc etc. However, this hotel holds great potential, the staff are super accommodating and once completed, will be a lovely hotel in an up and coming area, and we will return for another visit!

Lovely but opened too early

The location was great, close to restaurants, the marina and bars. The hotel was still under construction which was a big disappointment. The spa and indoor pool were not open. My friend's room was not finished for her stay, but mine was. It is finished well, the restaurant and bar are well done and lobby is very nice. I enjoyed my stay, but the hotel opened prematurely.

Can do better

Great rooftop pool with a stunning view, lovely room, comfortable bed and bedding, and a spacious shower with generous water jets. However, there were few of the amenities one would expect from a 4-star hotel: no hangers, no tissues, no glasses, no soap, no shower cap, etc. The gym was out of service, and the two toilets by the pool were also non-operational. As for the location, next time I’d choose Valletta instead—more central, as it’s the starting point for all buses heading to the rest of the island.

Très belle chambre, beau mobilier, belle surface. Jolie piscine au sommet de l’hôtel. Salle sport sympa. Bémols pour le petit déjeuner : salle bruyante, choix limité, jus de fruits non qualitatifs et très sucrés. Impossible d’avoir un sac avec le petit déjeuner pour les départs de bonne heure.

Das Hotel war und ist nicht fertig. Innenpool und Spabereich sind noch nicht zugänglich. Teile der Ausstattung sind noch im Bau. Es gibt keinerlei Hinweis darauf. Das Housekeeping arbeitet schlecht (keine neuen Gläser, fehlende Handtücher, leere Seife nicht bemerkt). Annehmlichkeiten wie Kosmetiktücher, Body Lotion, Slipper oder ähnliches gibt es nicht. Das Frühstück ist sehr voll, es gibt zu wenige Kaffeemaschinen und die Anordnung ist unpraktisch. Im Salat waren viele Fliegen. Obwohl das Hotel neu eröffnet ist sehen viele Bereiche sehr abgenutzt und kaputt aus. Für Lärmbelästigung sorgen zu laute Aufzugtöne und Fehlalarme der Brandmeldeanlage. Positiv hervorzuheben sind die Zimmergröße, das Design und der Rooftop-Pool. Das Personal war stets freundlich, die Prozesse (z.B. Handtuch für den Strand ausleihen) sind noch nicht ausgereift.

Indoor Pool und SPA Bereich wegen Bauarbeiten noch nicht fertig! Bauarbeiten und somit Lärm im und am Hotel. Hellhörige Zimmer zu den Nachbarn (Hört deren Dusche und wenn Nachbarn sich durch die Wohnung bewegen) dagegen gut isoliert nach Außen und Flur.Viel zu viele Gäste auf kleinen Raum. Convenience Frühstück schrecklich und zu voll. Positiv Rooftop Pool und Bar, auch wenn öfters zu wenig freie Liegen!

Neues 4-Sterne Novotel in zentraler, aber recht ruhiger Umgebung, da in zweiter Reihe von der Hauptstraße. Tolle Zimmer, Pools und Fitnessstudio. Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und bemüht, wirken aber zuweilen unkoordiniert und überfordert. Das Frühstück ist der größte Kritikpunkt: Auswahl und Qualität entsprechen keinem 4-Sterne Niveau (weder lokal noch international). Regelmäßig funktioniert das Nachreichen von Tellern, Tassen, etc. und Essen nicht - insb. zu Stoßzeiten nicht. Das darf in einem solchen Haus nicht passieren. Da gibt es bessere Alternativen in der Umgebung.
