This charming beachfront cottage was the very first home purchased by Steve and Becky Harris in 1983, marking the beginning of what is now Harris Vacations. Perfectly positioned along the sugar white sands of Fort Morgan, Catalina offers sweeping views of the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico and a laid back coastal setting that keeps guests returning year after year. This beautifully renovated two bedroom beachfront cottage sleeps up to eight guests and welcomes up to two dogs, making it ideal for families who want every member along for the adventure. The beaches of Fort Morgan are pet friendly, and Catalina makes it easy to enjoy them together.

Conveniently located near other Harris Vacations homes including Fountain of Youth and Point Clear, Catalina is perfect for large families or groups who want to vacation close to one another while still enjoying their own private space.

The house is right on the beach as seen in the pictures, and sitting on the back porch was so relaxing. We loved the great views from every room and the shades were great at night. All details were considered in this house from a comfortable bed and furniture, nice showers, a great stocked kitchen, hooks to hang wet towels and a dog-friendly floor. We loved our stay!

On The Sand Gem

The location, decor (nautical/beachy), and furnishings were excellent!! Only one small negative. It would have been a plus if the property had slightly better provisions......salt and pepper, napkins, and facial tissue. But those issues are very minor. If ever we visit Gulf Shores again, we'll definitely stay there!!

Absolute Perfection!

Best place we’ve stayed! You cannot beat the location. This was our first time staying in a home on the beach and it was worth it!! The house was clean, updated, and beautifully decorated. Each room has an amazing view of the Gulf. The back deck was perfect for morning coffee and sitting out listening to the waves at night. Only feedback would be that the kitchen wasn’t stocked as well as we’d liked but we certainly made-do. There were plenty of towels, comfortable beds and living room furniture. For anyone planning to stay, take extra disposable cutlery. There was a large forest fire less than 2 miles from the home which had us a little concerned, but the management company reached out to let us know they were aware and would provide updates.

Fantastic little house. Recently renovated for a coastal feel without being too Theme like. Had a minor issue but property manager fixed immediately and even gave us gift card for dinner at Tacky Jacks. We love visiting Fort Morgan beach and try a different house each time. We’d definitely book this one again for next year but it’s already taken!!

Perfect Beach Vacation

This was our first trip to Fort Morgan, and we will definitely be back! The home was the perfect size for our family of 4 (plus 2 pups). It was very beach friendly and beautifully decorated. It was so nice to walk out the back door and be on the beach! It was not crowded at all, and we visited during a holiday weekend. We didn’t cook much, but the kitchen seemed to be well stocked. We did bring extra tp, paper towels, and laundry soap; after reading previous reviews we knew that we would run out of these things (1 roll was provided per bathroom). I highly recommend going to the store before settling into the house since most stores are at least 10-15 miles away (with the exception of some smaller stores). We have visited several beaches and stayed in many vrbo’s, and this was definitely one of our favorites!
