Overall the experience was nice. The hotel rooms does require some updating. The room i was in had mold and little ants. The beach chairs were gross, needed to add towels to cover the stains and bird poop. The staff was extremely nice and friendly.

For so much money spent being a diamond club customer , I’m very disappointed. I would have love to be happy about the money spent . Unfortunately 90% of the staff had an attitude just because. The simple things you ask for , it seem like you were bothering them . The rooms were a little dusty , i literally had to dust of some of the appliances in the room to use them . The entertainment needs to some help . You’re just spending money for a luxury stay but not getting the luxury care .

My general sentiment about this property is that the management and staff are not well trained in customer service or they just do not care. The management and staff would benefit from a bit of Disney or Marriott training. There were multiple incidents where me or my girlfriend asked for something as simple as ketchup or a towel at the pool and we were told that it was unavailable or they ran out and that we should walk to another location within the resort to see if they had any there. In one incident, after being ignored for several minutes by the swim up bar bartenders, the bartender serving my area spilled a drink on me and chose not to even acknowledge the issue. Even when she came over to clean up the spill... she had nothing to say nor did she offer a apology. Other guests were in complete shock. At one point, after complaining to the front desk about being placed in a room with double beds instead of a king size bed and the room being dirty (hair in the shower etc) the front desk told me simply that there was nothing she could do. There was no offer to identify potential opportunities to switch the next day or even the slightest bit of sympathy or empathy. Eventually, after escalating to a manager, Barrington, he was able to confirm that a room with a king size bed would open up the next day and that he would arrange for the move. Note that just prior to this the Bellman tried to let a guest into our room- apparently they double booked it-Amateur Hour at Royaltons.

Most of the staff seemed bothered and spoke aggressively whenever you asked them a question. I paid for an oceanview room but i got to my room i was looking at a kids play area and other building. Upon calling the front desk they transfered me 6 times which became extremely frustrating. I then went to the front desk only to be told anything above the 2nd floor is considered an oceanview room, which is outrageous if the view is not actually there, by a supossed supervisor. I dont know if he was a supervisor for real or not because anytime i asked for a manager i or suoervisor i was told by staff that there was none available. He also told me that they would look into it and someone would reach out to me which never occurred. I personally would not be staying at another royalton property as this one was no very welcoming and the hospitality was horrible.

Never had reservations for restaurant and after two hours of waiting for food at our table for my cousin birthday dinner the serves comes out and tells us they ran of food. Elevator kept breaking and rooms had the worst moody smell.

We loved everything about the property. Did several excursions, the bambo raft ride was one of my favorites, our guide Lazarus was kind, and very knowledgeable about the island and the sites. The best guide ever. Would difinetly go back.

Ok, so I hate to have to write this review of the Royalton because in some areas they are great, pool staff/entertainment and restaurant staff, but other areas absolutely horrible. 1st day, the door partition's to separate the rooms off track, called maintenance he came, showed me that it needed a stopper and said he would be there to fix it "tomorrow", never came back. There was no bedding for the pull out- we had a party of 4, room is set up for 2 in king bed and two on pullout but no bedding. Table with built in mirror, the mirror was absolutely disgusting when we arrived. It looked as if a kid had food on their hand and smeared it all over the mirror. They didn't clean the mirror the entire time we were there, we have pics and videos. Blow dryer was broken. No exaggeration, I called the front desk 5 times on 3 different days asking for a new one so we could dry our hair, after swimming all day, before going to dinner. They always said ok, but didn't bring it until the night before we left. An expedia rep stopped me outside and asked if I needed anything, I told her a blow dryer, she said she would be sure to put a request in. I still didn't get it that day. My biggest issue of all was, I requested an ocean view room and I did not receive one. I politely called the front desk the lady told me that I booked a family suite not an ocean view. I told her I have the paperwork to prove it, was told bring it to desk, I did and was told there were no rooms available.

Overall, a beautiful resort Friendly staff Food quality medium 3 1/2 to 4 stars Room is not well insulated so sheets on the bed and your clothes get damp. That’s the one downside otherwise we had a wonderful time.

Property was awesome. One of the best all-inclusive I have been to. The property is spacious, clean, pools were awesome. Nightly entertainment was great. The buffet restaurant was excellent. The a la carte restaurants were okay. The only issue we experienced was long delays in room service - exceeded 2 hours for food orders. The menu options for room service are also limited and the order were not fulfilled as advertised on menu listing. Options were also not available at times.

The property was pretty good overall. It has amazing pools and the facility is in pretty good condition. Some of the staff however not so good. Most of the staff were very nice and pleasant but some demonstrated they preferred not to be there. Food truck staff, guy manning the pasta station at the buffet were not polite and didn’t make me feel welcome. Small beach area but nice view! Liked the place overall. Might not stay there again though.
