A nice place for a couple

The castle and its park are beautiful and the property is extremely quiet. We enjoyed the great breakfast buffet. Not so good was the restaurant (we ordered a package with a three course dinner). The waiter was not well trained, the menu card showed a different dessert than we were served. The food itself was ok.

Not the “destination hotel” they think they are

NEVER AGAIN! What could have been a nice stay in what looks like it could have been a castle, our otherwise clean room looked like any basic “chain” hotel room. It was the service, or lack there of, that was terrible. The dinner in the restaurant was over cooked, dried out, overly salty and served by a snarky waitress. The person at the reception desk was either absent or too busy to notice that someone was waiting for help. The kitchen was slow in replacing empty serving platters for the breakfast buffet and we were locked out of the hotel at night because we came back to the hotel after 10:00 pm. (Instructions about keeping your key for a late return were ONLY written in German). I absolutely do NOT recommend this hotel! There are much better places to stay in this area.

Nice hotel off the beaten path

We stayed here for a short weekend trip to Poland and the Saxon/Bohemian Switzerland National Park. There is nothing of note in the immediate area, but you are very close to many things within a two hour radius. The hotel is clean and comfortably furnished. The biggest disappointment is that the majority of the rooms are not in the castle, but a modern addition. Breakfast is tasty with a decent variety of food. We arrived late and were accommodated. All the staff was very friendly.

Nice on the outside

Our first sight of the hotel was one of surprise, it looked very impressive as we came into the driveway, grand indeed. However, the excitement left as we saw the room! It was dark, poorly furnished and the bed was the worst we had slept in on our four night tour. What is it with the pillows!!!! This hotel provided a large, completely flat one which was neither use nor ornament! The internet was a bit of a pain as each device needed it, sown password. Breakfast was good but it was over priced for what it offered, obviously we paid a premium for its exterior good looks!

Unser Aufenthalt war nur kurz, aber dafĂŒr qualitativ sehr gut. Das Hotel ist wunderschön in der Natur gelegen und das Ambiente ein Traum. Die Zimmer waren niedlich und gemĂŒtlich. Es war uns eine Freude dort zu nĂ€chtigen.

Es ist ein schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage. In ca. 15 Minuten Autofahrt ist man im Zittauer Gebirge. Die Stadt Zittau ist ca. 8 km entfernt. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten gebucht. Bekommen haben wir ein Doppelbett. Ich hatte zweimal eine Mail geschickt, weil ich einen Tisch zum Abendessen reservieren wollte und bekam keine Antwort. Ich rief eine Woche vor unserem Aufenthalt im Hotel an und buchte Halbpension dazu. Dies wurde mir weder schriftlich noch am Anreisetag bestĂ€tigt. Wir aßen an einem Abend ĂĄ la Card. An einem anderen Abend waren wir in einer wunderschönen Pizzeria in Zittau. Dort hat es uns besser geschmeckt. An der Kommunikation mit den GĂ€sten vor Reisebeginn könnte noch gearbeitet werden. Vor Ort trafen wir allerdings auf ĂŒberaus freundliches Personal. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchten wir die beiden Auszubildenden, einen an der Rezeption und einen als Bedienung beim Abendessen.

Wir hatten hier 5 Übernachtungen im SpĂ€tsommer 2024 gebucht. Unser Zimmer, das Hotel und das geamte Umfeld haben uns sehr gefallen. Die Einrichtung macht sie einen sehr gepflegten, sauberen und gemĂŒtlichen Eindruck. Die Mitarbeiter in allen Bereichen sind sehr zuvorkommend und höflich. Sehr gut hat uns auch das FrĂŒhstĂŒck im Bereich des Schlosses gefallen. Es war durchgehend vielseitig, reichhaltig und lecker .
