Lovely location, disappointing customer service

Lovely location. Reception staff were quite unhelpful with information at check in and needed prompting eg what time is breakfast?, where is breakfast? Where is the lift? etc We stayed on a B&B basis only to find a couple of days later that they offered All Inclusive. This information would have been welcomed at check in, as we would have upgraded our stay but couldn’t when we requested as we had less than 3 days remaining. We had an incident during our stay and all I will say, as a result, is ensure you use the safe in your room for anything valuable. Overall a nice hotel but the management/staff could do with a refresher in customer service.

We had a great time at the beautiful Lake Como! Very close and convenient to everything! The staff were great,parking was near by, the breakfast buffet was very good, lots of things to choose from. Great experience!

I normally try to be positive in my stay. But, the only positive thing from this hotel is the location. The rest was disappointment. The room was outdated and dirty impression as well as had unpleasant smell. Some staff were not very friendly. the breakfast was busy and food was not good. Uncooked bacon, eggs and sausages.

The staff were lovely and the view of the lake and pool area was great. The hotel was very dated with old bathrooms and the lift felt like it would break down when you were using it. The breakfast was not good, would definitely not recommend paying for the breakfast.

Rubber Seal from window was hanging off, Door handle for room door was loose. Pealed off paint fallen in shower. Your only given one key card. Staff knew little about the area. General room disrepair to the room. Would be good if staff gave the room a once over before guest arrives. Location was good and the room was clean.

Great location, poor food

Como was an amazing location, the hotel was pretty much as described with an amazing pool on the lake. The downside to the hotel was the quality of the morning breakfasts. Had we known that this was an all inclusive resort (please note this wasn’t advertised as an all inclusive and we didn’t book it as that) we would not have stayed as the quality of food at an all inclusive is usually terrible. It very much catered to its audience and for that you can’t blame the hotel, it’s just not what we were expecting. However the pool facilities and the location to the ferry was brilliant.

Amazing pool with a great view. A bit disappointed with the hotel itself. Bed terribly uncomfortable, rooms outdated and in need of repairs. Do not be tempted with the all inclusive package, food is mediocre at best.

The rooms were outdated and tired looking. I had a fridge in the room which stank discussing. The upside however was the view from our balcony across the lake to Bellagio. Lots of local restaurants and small shops. Parking was difficult and not available on site.

Hotel is in dire need of renovation. It is practically falling apart. Breakfast area is like a canteen, very noisy and hectic. Rooms are very old with lots of wear and tear to the paintwork and stains on the chair. The one lift serving the 200+ rooms takes about 10 minutes to go from top to bottom. Free parking is claimed by the hotel, which is over 100m away, very unsafe and do not even attempt if you have a nice car. It is unpaved, very steep and full of potholes. Damaged my car. When I asked about the free parking I was then offered to pay €10 to park behind the hotel. Why would I do that when it is €7 per day to park in front of the lake in a much safer place. Probably the worst hotel I have stayed in and made what should have been a lovely trip to lake como a stressful ordeal. Do visit lake como however, as it is very beautiful, just don’t stay in this hotel. Avoid at all costs!

Basic rooms. Towels weren’t changed the entire week even though they were meant to be every 3 days. Which in my opinion isn’t regularly enough in the first place. Poor bathroom and toiletries. Tired room, dirty curtains and broken door/window. Pool and bar were great though! And with a platinum band (all inclusive) we had access to many restaurants and bars with great selection of food and drink!

Old hotel but charming. I wish they had early check in we arrived an hour before time and were not able to check in. Food was ok no complaints there but the lift did break down one evening and was fixed by morning.
