Pool tried to k!ll us and the beach was gross

We were pretty disappointed as we booked this hotel so our daughters could enjoy the pool/beach. Way too much chlorine in the pool/hot tub...we were all coughing and sputtering and my boyfriend got a bloody nose from it! We decided to try the beach out back and there were large rotting fish that had washed up. It stunk so bad even when we moved down the beach a ways to play volleyball instead. Pretty disappointed that we didn't get to enjoy the pool area OR the beach. When i mentioned it to the front desk they apologized but did not offer a solution. $170/night when we couldn't even use the pool/beach is pretty steep! The hotel was very clean however, and breakfast offered a lot of options.

Only 2 things could have been better. The doorwall was very hard to open and close and there wasn’t any coffee made in the morning (of check out ) when we got up to watch the sunrise so I attempted to make it myself and I’m not experienced with a Bunn (I use a keurig) and there was a non pleasant attitude from the person getting breakfast ready. But mostly. A great place and would recommend it.
