Brand new, first class 1,000 square foot Guesthouse on a gated, palatial estate. The property is centrally located - just 15 minutes to downtown Grass Valley, 18 minutes to Nevada City and 20 minutes to Auburn.. The Guesthouse combines old-world charm on the outside with a super modern look on the inside. Lush wisteria adorns the entrance and the front door and windows are genuine beveled glass giving it a cozy feeling. Once inside, you will find an open floor plan with striking grey, black, red and white furniture and décor. The large kitchen features a gorgeous granite slab and a fully appointed kitchen with all Frigidaire stainless steel appliances including a full-sized refrigerator, a 4 burner gas range/oven, built in microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen sink is deep and not divided and of course includes a garbage disposal. High end touches like a Haden Heritage stainless/copper Coffee Pot and Toaster scream first class.
The living room has a full-size chesterfield sofa and matching chair. Pillows and blankets add coziness as does the electric fireplace. The rug is a genuine Persian rug which adds a timeless element. The artwork is simple and contemporary.
French doors open to the large bedroom featuring a king-sized bed with a down comforter and bamboo/viscose sheets. The closet is huge with tons of storage and is adorned by double barn doors. There are 2 large windows in the bedroom (both with blinds) and a view of the front yard which is spectacular at night because of the exquisite landscape lighting.
The bathroom is large with 2 Kohler sinks, plenty of drawers and has the same beautiful granite that’s in the kitchen. The shower is all glass with a half-round design and white marble tile walls. There is a huge window, two crystal chandeliers and a barn door to give the bathroom plenty of pizazz.
The property has three separate and distinct buildings - the Manor House, the Guest House and the Owner's Cottage. Each building is very private and separate from the others. Each has its own yard/patio, hot tub and parking. The property has a large instant-on back-up generator so there is no need to be concerned with power outages.
Guests are encouraged to explore the 1.5 acres of lush gardens and seating areas. There are stone walkways throughout the property and 4 themed seating areas with amazing flowers and fountains. The Asian themed garden has several statues and a fountain surrounded by ferns and azaleas. The European themed garden has an Eiffel Tower and cherub statues, a fountain and a tile mosaic bench. The property has 3 very mature redwood trees forming a small grove that has Adirondack chairs in the middle for you to sit and enjoy. The Southwestern themed garden has lots of colorful Mexican pottery filled with many different types of cactuses. The property features a wood burning firepit surrounded by natural rock pavers with seating for 8.
The prolific gardens are constantly changing colors and something is always in bloom. The property also has organic vegetables planted throughout that guests are welcome to!
A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment.
