Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refunds related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

BeeHive is the Bees Knees!

Another great stay at this mountain home! It’s cozy, comfy, and full of all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay! The view is INCREDIBLE and our dogs loved romping around in the yard or going for daily walks in the beautiful neighborhood. We had the best time and look forward to returning soon!

Puts the grand in Grand Lake

Amazing completely updated cabin. Every detail attended to with tasteful and thoughtful artistic charm. From beds to silverware quality throughout. No one-ply toilet paper here! Difficult to tear myself away from the oversized chair with gorgeous view of the lake. No complaints - perfection.

Property was great but management company was not very helpful

We loved the property. The location was great, very secluded with amazing views. Luckily it didn’t snow while we were there, otherwise it would have been tough to get to. Unfortunately, while we were there the internet was down, which ended up being a big inconvenience for us. Our baby monitors are tied to wifi and because the Beehive is so secluded, it was tough getting cell service. Our goal wasn’t to be in the cabin the whole time, no wifi meant it was very difficult to FaceTime family for NYE and took away my ability to work from the cabin on Tuesday morning (after New Year’s Day). I reached out to the property management group right away and after attempting to troubleshoot, still no wifi and very limited response from the management team. I understand it was New Years but to offer no support and really no help was very disheartening. Again, while we weren’t there to spend full time in the cabin, the lack of support put a bit of a damper on what was otherwise, a fun weekend.

Fabulous Shabby-Chic meets Mountain/Lake Views!

First time at the bungalow but hopefully not our last. We LOVED our stay! House had all the amenities- great dishes, plenty of extras and beautifully decorated! This house was renovated with love and good decorating skills. The deck is amazing with comfy seats and fluffy throws. Our dog loved the roominess of the fenced yard and we went on great walks in the neighborhood everyday. Just loved it all! Can’t wait to return.

Great little bungalow

This property is great for a couple or small family. The house is incredibly clean and inviting. The outdoor area has stunning views of shadow mountain and is a relaxing place to enjoy coffee. This is a wonderful rental property.

Excellent stay!

We had an outstanding stay at the BeeHive Bungalow! This was our first time visiting Grand Lake and we will be back sooner rather than later. The cabin was a few minutes outside of town which made it convenient, yet quiet. The check in and check out process was extremely simple and everyone we interacted with was friendly. The cabin itself is really well maintained and the owners have gone out of their way to provide all the comforts of being at home. There was plenty of inside and outside space, everything was clean and well maintained. We could tell that every room was thought out and very detailed. Everything that we needed or would have needed was provided. Things worked well, the beds and furniture were comfortable and there was plenty of space to relax. We will be booking again on our next visit and highly encourage anyone looking for a quiet, well kept getaway!

Good Stay...would be better with an AC

Pros: - Well stocked for cooking and cleaning - Great location with views of the lake - Great location for access to Grand Lake entrance of RMNP - Comfortable beds Cons: - Apple TV is first gen therefore, you cannot download any apps to it and are very limited on entertainment from that perspective - No AC - This most likely isn't an issue too many months out of the year however, in July it definitely was hot. Temps were in the mid 80s during the day and the cabin does not have AC therefore took a very long time to cool down at night. This made it tough for my kids to get to sleep due to the heat in the home. We also were unable to keep the windows open due to bears in the area (not the owner's fault by any means). Overall, the home makes for a good stay in the Grand Lake area.
