The rooms have been renovated a few years ago, but this is still a motel. Expect rooms to be a bit noisy, as vehicles are parked 3 feet from your window and door. Thankfully the soundproofing between rooms is pretty good however. There are also rail tracks nearby, and the trains blow the horn a lot. Our room key reset everyday so we kept having to get a new key each day. Housekeeping barged in on us 3 times. The breakfast is a bit below average but passable. The only hot offerings are waffles, instant oatmeal, and microwaveable frozen mini-muffin sausage sandwiches. Staff are generally helpful and mean well. We had millipedes appear on the bathroom floor occasionally. The tub was installed off level so shower water drained onto the floor, causing minor flooding of the floor every time somebody showers. No easy way to fix that. The price is reasonable, and it was an okay place to stay. But I likely wouldn't go back, I prefer hotels to motels.

Moldy Cheese!

When we first arrived late at night, it smelled like cigars and the AC was off and the floor had a level of dew on it.’ We roughed it out turned on the ac and went to bed as we were in town for a college visit and my daughter had to perform. When we woke up at 0645 it stunk like chemical and mold from the ac so bad we had to open the front door to air out. I immediately asked my daughter to get up so we could leave. Then. I took a video. I do not wish to be charged nor should anyone visit this location until it has passed a proper health inspection. It was rated 8.5 my ass!

Overall a very good choice

Overall a nice place to stay. The price was great. The room and bathroom were clean. The property and room are not fancy but are newer and well kept. Breakfast was fine - the fresh waffles were a nice touch and the coffee was good. The staff were friendly.

Hair on and in the bed. The mattress, under a bedbug cover, 2 mattress covers and the unchanged sheets, was 17 years old and stained like a crime scene. Shower did not work, very clogged showerhead that wasn't affixed correctly. We agreed to leave immediately after they agreed to process a refund. 12 days later and the manager has no idea what I'm talking about. I can pull up the phone records where I clearly called Expedia and was on the phone with them and stayed from 8:00 p.m. until before midnight. I was put on hold and they called the hotel, spoke to a female employee who said if we left immediately, they would issue a full refund. Basically had to argue with the manager to get the refund I was owed for NOT staying there. There was no accountability, no apologies. And I was really exhausted from driving five states in like 11 hours. I didn't need that nonsense my one night in Selma.

I would have to say this is by far the worse hotel i have ever stayed at there was bugs that we saw in the room and there was also bad smell i would not recommend staying there i am looking for a refund
