Nice and clean hotel. Close to all the shops. Friendly staff. Can’t fault this hotel. Rooms a good size with a large tv. Large bathroom with rainfall shower. Complimentary coffee.

You take the high road.

We had stayed in the hotel under a previous name. On this occasion we came back as a stop off on the way to the Highlands. It had been completely renovated. The condition of the room we used was excellent. Breakfast was always good. It still was. We had dinner there twice and the food was very good.

Loved our stay

Overall we loved our stay, the decor is beautiful and everything was so clean. All the staff we encountered were incredibly helpul, the 2 free drinks voucher we got at checkout for booking the junior suite was a nice bonus too. Didn't manage to make use of the lounge but it looked well stocked and clean too. Can't forget to mention the amazing breakfast which even had an omlette station. There were a couple of down sides though. The air conditioning seemed to be stuck on heat with the temp reading 28 degrees. This meant we had to keep the window open which unfortunately also meant the trains at the station below were very loud, even on the tenth floor. And on a much more minor note, as far as rooms go, its a stretch to call it a suite, it was not much bigger than most other standard hotel rooms and rather than a separate lounge, there was a sofa in the room positioned in front of the tv, this meant that the tv was then too far to watch comfortably from bed. Just something worth noting, if like me you love coming back after a night out, collapsing into bed and watching tv.

Fabulous stay.

The hotel was fabulous. Everything was spotlessly clean. Amenities in the room were fabulous. The bed was sooooo comfy and each if my pillows varied in hardness, so I was able to get the perfect ratio. Air con worked and the windows opened. I slept like a log, best sleep I had in years. But I wear hearing aids. But I can imagine that some people would moan about being on tip of the train station. If you are sensitive to noise ask for a room overlooking the road. Housekeeping in 10th floor was absolutely spot on, the lady was awesome.

Spirits not included in 'free drinks' offer

We've stayed at this hotel several times before and are very happy to recommend it to others. It is a consistently high standard all round. The only issue I would raise following this visit is in connection with the free drink(s) offered as part of the stay. In the past, I have made use of this by getting a white wine or prosecco for my wife and a dark rum for myself and never had any problems with this. On this occasion, however, (and after the drinks had been poured) I was informed that spirits were not covered by the offer. I had not been informed of this on check in. This is a minor issue but it would have been good to have been told about this in advance.
