Second time staying at the Clayton. Easy check-in, friendly staff, big room (on first floor facing the river but external noise was minimal). Water and snacks refilled every day. Great bed meant I got three nights of good sleep.

Room was a good size, comfortable and clean. Easy check in and out. Staff friendly. Breakfast buffet was pretty standard. Having to wait for a fried egg to be served means your breakfast is cold by the time it arrives.

Staff were all great, especially housekeeping. Great location, within easy walking distance of everything. However, and this is a deal breaker for me, it sees like they have recently changed linen supplier/quality. This isn’t a cheap hotel, so getting polyester bedding which is incredibly cheap, hot and rough was a surprise. You can’t open your window so you either sweat or have to have the AC on. I mean it’s February and I was sweating. Whoever made this decision seriously needs to rethink this. I wouldn’t stay again with bedding like that.
