I asked for a mini fridge to put my medication in and I was told that hotels.com didn’t put it down so I needed to take it up with them they was very unhelpful and you have to pay so much for the breakfast and it wasn’t worth it plus to use the pool you have to pay extra everything should come in the price of your room

Poor

Room wasn't very clean. Found a tablet on the floor. Radiator all paint falling off. Bathroom very old and dirty in places. Dust all over the bedroom area.Very noisy with drunken guests fighting in the corridor until 2am. Pool nothing like the photos, loads smaller and couldn't use it as it was always full. Its also at the end of a corridor which stank of urine. The good side the food was good value and decent.

A tired, dated hotel in need of come TLC.

The hotel is dated. The room was in need of modernisation. The shower was terrible, barely a limp trickle. The hot water was scolding. The room very musty and had an aroma of cigarette smoke.

Wouldn't rush back

From check in to check out, staff were rude and did not speak directly to me. In check in, he spoke at me and continued his conversations with her colleagues. When asked if I could pay parking on my card he was sharp and blunt whilst not letting go of the card machine and waving it infront of me. During check out he took the card of me and throw it into the box whilst looking at as if it was simple. There was no sign to say that's where cards went. Cleaners attempted to walk into my room in the morning even after I shouted 5 times hello. She was apologetic once she opened the door, but it was a huge scare that I had locked the door and she was still able to open it. As a young female travelling alone, I did not feel safe. The hotel is worn, could do with an update to make it feel more welcoming. The decor is old, and not a warming feeling.

Worth a stay

The cost for staying at this hotel is extremely reasonable. Yes it isn't a 5* hotel but the facilities and rooms are welcoming and worth the price. Couldnt fault the cleanliness and the staff during our stay. My only gripe is the standard of bar meals, I am sure this could be improved with a little thought and attention.

meh ... cheap not cheerful

The room was cold and very draughty , I had to block the windows with the curtains to block the draught. There was some rubbish in the corner of the room which was not cleared away and i heard a buzzing and whirring noise all through the night so didnt get a god sleep. its cheap but not particularly cheerful
