Six day writing retreat

I was there for six days working on a writing project. Was in my room most of the day. Kept the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and I was not bothered. If I needed anything the staff was quick to accommodate. My only concern was that there was a LOT of noise in the halls. Also a major furniture moving operation was going on while I was there, but the staff did post signs apologizing for the inconvenience. I took full advantage of the coffee offered 24 hours a day in the breakfast area.

The staff were the highlight of this property. I had the misfortune of having an auto accident and being without transport. Everybody was sympathetic and did their best to make my stay as nice as possible thru the adversity. The GM even provided me a ride to my convention himself.!! Top notch.

Everything was great, we stayed for a total of 12 hours after skiing at Liberty Mountain. Very convenient and practical location right by downtown Gettysburg and a bunch of shops and restaurants. Only thing we didn't love was the shower making a noise when we got in (it was fine the next day) and no one at the desk for check out (had to wait about 10 minutes)

I specifically called to see if they had a hot tub. They said they did not but they had a heated pool. This was far from the case. The water was cold, the pool area was cold, and the heater in our room blew cold air. Asked to have it looked at noone came asked for pool heat to be turned up nothing was done. And we had a 2 day stay and they still did nothing.

Over all pleased with our stay and would stay again. We stayed here for one night before skiing. Pro:Felt the price was very reasonable. We had two beds and a pull out couch with worked great for my 5 ppl family. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Kids had fun in the pool said water was warm. Breakfast was ok for being free. Waffles, pancakes, cold/dry items, eggs were kinda gross, sausage, coffee/juices. Shower worked nice for being an older hotel Cons: hair on table at pool, hotel lobby door 1 of 2 was broke so was cold in lobby. WiFi was down. Eggs were gross. Slightly dated.
