Wonderful

We loved the history of the house itself as well as the section of the town it is located in.
The manager was very informative about the history of the house, which we found interesting.
Staff in general were knowledgeable about places to visit beyond the battle grounds, dinning options and some specifics about touring the National Park.
Breakfast (at additional cost) was delicius
This was our second visit and we enjoyed our stay both times. Very convenient location, nice people, good breakfast. My one criticism would be that we were never able to get the room cooled off, making it a little difficult to sleep.
Close to shops and restaurants. Walkable to cemetery which was nice. Room was impeccably clean. Grab and go breakfast is minimal. Didn’t try the full bfast as it was an added charge. Room was comfortable. It is old so sound does travel. We could hear the ghost tours that stopped on the property after 10pm and we were there during bike week and had a difficult time sleeping then however once the motorcycles left it was very quiet.
The stay was great. The rooms were clean comfortable and the staff were accommodating. The only issue I had was that we paid more than $70 for the worst Ghost tour that we booked through the Brickhouse. It was my first time in Gettysburg and I was really looking forward to the tour. However, the guide appeared to be less informed of the area’s history than me and I was so disappointed with the entire experience.
This is a wonderful place to stay, if you want to stay in the historic part of Gettysburg. The hospitality of the staff and the charm of the rooms is lovely. I would definitely come back here again!
The Expedia description showed a bathtub and shower combination. Alabama room only has an old, small shower. Room smells musty as you walk in. Photos make it all look more elegant than it is. People on second floor could be heard walking, talking, etc. Room needs blackout curtains.
We don't usually stay at B & Bs but the Brickhouse Inn has changed our minds. Bed was comfortable and room was quaint and quiet. Staff was very accommodating, informative and friendly. Loved sitting by the firepit at night and the complimentary glass of champagne was a nice touch. We chose the grab n go breakfast which was certainly enough.Coffee was good too. Sam was fun to talk to.
We would recommend the Brickhouse to anyone visiting Gettsyburg.
The property was beautiful and centrally located, the only downside is it’s on a busy street and if your room faces the street you get a lot of traffic noise. But I would recommend the B&B.
This historic property is very convenient to all the historical sights of Gettysburg. The staff was on-sight and ready to answer any questions in the daytime and evenings. Downtown Gettysburg is an easy walk away, yet the property is just removed enough from the main traffic circle to be outside the tourist busy-ness.
This was our first visit to Gettysburg and the Brickhouse Inn added to our excellent experience. The Inn is in walkable distance to downtown and the National Cemetery and 5 minute drive to Gettysburg. National Park Visitor Center. The staff were welcoming, kind, and accommodating. Swinging on the front porch swing was delightful!
on the front porch swing
Beautiful historic property in the heart of Gettysburg. Our room was cozy and comfortable. Could walk to all of the historic downtown businesses and restaurants from here. Next door to Welty House and near Jennie Wade House. You can book a ghost tour or hunt through the property. Did not add the breakfast, but it smelled good and others seemed to enjoy it. Only hiccup was we had trouble gaining entry to the main house with the code we were sent. However, Sam was on-site and was able to give us a new code to get in after a few minutes. He was very helpful, and Andrew guided us on a fun ghost hunt that evening. Would definitely stay again.
Enjoyed the stay! Close to most of the sites and dining. Shower water pressure was low, but should be overlooked for a B&B as old as the house is. Would stay again!
