Broken telephone and …

#1. On the second day, a housekeeping person knocked and entered at 9 pm, stating that the cleaning has not been done. However, cleaning has been done early afternoon. I was shocked somebody came to my room after I went to bed. #2 Telephone did not work. #3 The first reception person did not advise me availability of airport limousine nor alternative way (Grab).

The staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was good with a lot of choice. Rooms were clean and good size. Close to many places. The housekeeping staff was very helpful and friendly. In particular, Amin from housekeeping was very helpful and good. He made our stay very pleasant. We would like to thank Amin.

Pitiful Gurney Drive

Old hotel but was well maintained and managed. Staff were very attentive and pleasant. Was given an upgrade to beach facing. Unfortunately, the scenic Gurney beach we used to know is no longer and reclaimed for new developments; what a pity.

Amazing stay, friendly staff and beautiful views of the coast from our upgraded room with sea views. Got the breakfast upgrade and it was worth it at $2/pp. Across the hotel is a skatepart and slides which is part of Pennangs expansion project so this hotel is a central location for enjoying the facilities being built. If you like halal food just go out of the hotel and walk, left, it'll have th best street food, halal wagyu, and a fresh seafood spot called Ikran Bakar and they fry you fresh fish with some spicy paste on top and its to die for. Also a short walk from the mall where you can buy a long board to get around like i did.

Good service, but old.

The hotel is nice and the service very good, but it is old and is showing it. The rooms are large but carpets and furniture are old and worn down. There were also small insects/cockroaches that sometimes appeared in the bathroom. The hotel has not thought about the environment - like delivering additional tubes of soap, shampoo and hand soap everyday even if the previous ones were still unused.
