The Gillett was great. And conveniently located. I would recommend not being on the ground floor next to the ramp going to the second floor. It was loud.

When we got to our room it appeared as if whoever cleaned it got halfway done and called it quits. Trash was still in the trash cans and someone’s used towels were in our bathroom. I did like the fact it was so close to the Main Street where everything was at definitely a very walkable location. All in all the Gillette was a decent stay with comfortable beds and friendly staff, just would’ve wished our room would’ve been a little more clean

Great place to stay. Convenient for all Gatlinburg downtown activities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rhonda the lady that toke care of our room was great she went over and beyond to make sure you was comfortable and had every thing you needed.

This is a simple family run hotel so I’m not comparing it to a fancy corporate one, my rating is for within its category. We had a room facing the courtyard parking lot just for a night and appreciate that the room was clean! Room well kept and you can walk to many things in town. Thank you

Hospitality like it used to be

Our room was very clean and comfortable. It had been recently renovated with modern amenities. The parking was excellent. The parking was well light and convenient to the room. It has an excellent location with the convention center across the street. The hotel can be accessed by 3 different streets allowing easy entrance and exit. The hotel staff was very congenial and helpful. It was sort of like staying with friends. The Family decorates for every season.

Luck of the draw. Week and a half ago, stayed in room 228 and it was delightful. This time in 232, and it was sub-par. WiFi is almost non-existant, forcing us outside just to use it. Room has NOT been updated like 228, despite large sign saying they all have. Neither dead-bolt on either door worked properly, potentially locking you in during a fire, so was forced to remain unlocked. This is a throw-away room - perhaps half the cost is reasonable.
