Loved the large room size and beautiful rock fireplace and balcony. Beds were surprisingly comfortable we slept very well. The breakfast was very good a lot of variety…many different choices could even make your own waffles etc…nice location could walk to downtown Gatlinburg easily or jump on a trolly which was nice and convenient. The flooring in our room needed replaced. Other than that we had a nice stay.

The Expedia site shows rooms and surroundings that look new. When I first arrived they stated that they did not have my reservation. I believe that they did this so I would not get the discounted rate. The office where you check in smelled badly of bug spray. There was a dead rat next to the vending machine. First thing they said was "watch out for the bears?" There is a sign on the breakfast location "shut the door so that bears don't come in". When reported to Expedia they called the office about my complaints and they believed the hotel. They told Expedia, "its Gatlinburg bears are everywhere". Expedia would not reimburse me after several calls to them that I wanted to move. No cleaning service the time we were there. Hotel staff nasty to deal with.

Overall the property is old but kept nicely. It is clean all around the area including the pool. The rooms are a bit old but pretty good. However, the cleaning service is not good, they always brought clean towels and made the bed but never not once cleaned the floors! Come on the floors get dirty with going in and out of the rooms. I told that to the lady downstairs that and that no one had made our bed either and the room didn’t look clean at all and she supposedly had jotted down full clean the next day just to find out that it was the same no full clean at all. She apologized but I was already checking out. In addition breakfast was ok, typical continental breakfast. I wish they would have a bit more updated facilities and change the smell of the checkin office. It’s not the best smell. Not sure it its bear deterrent or something. After all of that its an ok hotel to stay for a few nights.

Enjoyed the hotel.

Great location near trolley stop. Loved the view off balcony. The beds were comfortable. The pool was nice on a hot day.

It was ok for the price but not the cleanest. We found a "hairball" in a towel, a bug in one of the beds, the outlets by the beds didn't work, and the breakfast was awful.
