Check-in was a nightmare due to only having one desk agent checking in a lobby full of people, taking over an hour. Elevator was really slow. Room was in poor condition--the bathroom and balcony door barely closed. The bed was soft and comfy, and the air conditioner and TV were serviceable. Breakfast was free and tasty (and the waffles were shaped like Texas.) The site is conveniently located right by beach. There is a pool on the ground floor.

Possibly the best thing about my stay is that the staff seemed unusually helpful and friendly. They offered me tips, when I asked of places to eat and things to go and see. I absolutely appreciated that The location is very good, you can see the seawall from there. The building is older. The floors are squeaky. The floor in the room directly above mine squeaked plenty. Made sleeping a challenge. Both the pool and fitness center require that one walks outside to get to the air doors. Not a selling point, but worked. Stuff is older there. Everything worked, Not horrible for a budget stay.
