I booked a room for two nights due to the ice storms in DFW because I would not be able to drive home. After the first night we decided to try and make the drive back home. I spoke with the front desk and we checked out that morning. She said I would get refunded for the day we didn’t stay. I have not received a refund or communication from the hotel. The hotel was fine but the customer service piece is not ok.

Nice staff, clean room and enjoyable breakfast. Pillows were a bit flat, but bed was comfortable. Only down was the noise of the other guests in the halls and slamming doors... While the property was quiet, guest nose was not; I don't fault a property for the noise of guests though.

We arrived at this hotel around 5:00 AM after a 19-hour drive from North Carolina to Galveston, Texas, exhausted and expecting at least a clean place to rest. Unfortunately, the room we were given was absolutely disgusting. There were unknown spots all over the floor, toothpaste splattered on the mirror, and electrical wires hanging out of the AC unit, which felt unsafe and unacceptable. The room clearly had not been cleaned or inspected before being assigned to guests. When I went to the front desk to address the issue, I was told there was nothing they could do because we booked through Expedia and that no other rooms were available. No alternative solution, no attempt to help, and no sense of concern after such a long trip. Between the filthy room and the lack of customer service, I would not recommend staying here. Booking through a third party should not excuse basic cleanliness or guest safety.
