I stayed one night as I was visiting family at UTMB and the service was absolutely awful. The morning women was rude and didn’t offer any kind of help when I informed her my mom was in critical condition and I had a meeting with the doctors at 3pm and would like to know if I could check in at 2. She offered no type of help or assistance to get me checked in earlier. I then returned to get changed in at least the lobby restroom at 2:15 where I was able to be checked in by the afternoon shift woman. When I checked out the following morning I informed the front desk of the sagging paint on the wall of the bathroom and the mold in the shower and she again offered no condolences or tried to make anything right. For the price I paid for the night I definitely didn’t expect to have the experience I did. I expected more out of a choice hotel but I will book with an Airbnb next time.

Nanak (aka Nick - the shuttle driver) was great! Staff was super nice. Lobby was very nice. Location to the Pleasure Pier and Seawall Blvd, as well as offering airport shuttle, was why we booked. Room could have been cleaner (and needs some repairs (balcony door framing and ability to lock it, wall ledge above a/c, bathroom ceiling/wall patch repairs) but didnt bother complaining/asking for a change because we are just too tired and it's only for a night. Will mention at checkout about cleanliness though -shower needs a good scrubbing to remove mold (we wore flipflops in it and just didnt touch the walls instead)

The hotel needs some tender loving care. We stayed two nights while waiting to take our cruise on the Carnival Jubilee. I would not choose to stay here again. The staff was not a problem, I found them friendly and helpful. The whole hotel needs work. We ate breakfast the first morning and I ended up spitting out the waffle because it had a very bitter taste to it. My husband’s did as well. We chose to not partake in breakfast the morning of the cruise. I called in door dash. They had no orange juice and limited options with other things. The coffee was awful as well. We will definitely sail out of Galveston again but I will pay more and stay someplace else.

The lady at the front desk was very helpful. The room was decent. It took me a few minutes to figure out the main light situation in the bathroom, it is built into the mirror. And I was pleasantly surprised to find the room had a balcony that looked out at the ocean and the Pleasure Pier, which is walkable distance.

Pool and location only good thing about this hotel. Room has holes in it, breakfast was cold one day, they ran out of food on multiple occurances, no gym even though it says they have one, no washer dryer even though it says they have one, saw roaches, one lady there is very rude she works night. The morning lady is very nice. You have to bring towels down and trash.
