Hotel is nice and staff were terrific. Location is convenient, but very noisy at night. There are a few bars just below the hotel with live bands playing outdoors so it’s extremely loud well into the night. They actually have ear plugs in the rooms. If it weren’t for the noise, it would great.

Parking was strange. We arrived at night and had no where to park to get our luggage out. We had to just stop in the middle of the street and get our luggage out. No one came to our room to clean our room which was also very strange. We were out all day so it’s not like we were in the room when they came by.

We didn’t really have a problem with the hotel or the staff, but we were very disappointed in the fact that the music in the pool area came on over the speakers at 6:30 am, and we could hear it in our room. It woke us both up, and we couldn’t go back to sleep. We were staying in room Room 203, so I would ask not to be put in any of the rooms adjacent to the pool. Another frustration was the lack of signage or direction as to where to pull in for parking. They have to use a city parking deck a block away, but we circled the building a couple of times before we realized there was no parking associated with the hotel. At a minimum they need signage as to where to pull up for valet or unloading. This could easily be fixed.

For a father / daughter (HS senior) 1st time visit to UF, we feel we picked the best choice for our personal orientation. The short walk to campus allowed for multiple hassle free trips to campus & back. Was able to find free weekend parking 2 blocks away, allowing my jeep to sit in the same spot all weekend. Free breakfast was appreciated, supported and enjoyed local, family owned restaurants for dinner. Overall, pleased we experienced the culture of Gainesville instead of the "same old corporate strip" of hotels & chain restaurants of the highway.

Sleepless

So pulling in there is no check in area. You have to Parkin middle of road to go in and get a valet to park you which obviously doesn’t work well. There were about eight cars parked in the middle of the road. We parked in an over park and then walked 2 blocks to check in. The club music will keep you up till 2 am after that the college kids howling and and racing there cars away will keep you up till 3. Breakfast was better then most free buffets

Recommended hotel.

Nice hotel. The staff is very friendly. The location is convenient. Breakfast is good. Parking is not that great, you need to go to a parking garage which is very near by, or you can use their valet for a $30 fee a night. I have stayed at the same hotel multiple times since it is very convenient for my needs, and I like the strip where it is located and it is nice.
