Himmelpfort is surrounded by four lakes (Sidowsee, Moderfitzsee, Haussee and Stolpsee). All lakes are connected to each other and so the place appears like a small island. The largest of the 4 lakes can be reached on foot in about 5 minutes, but all other lakes can also be discovered on foot. Restaurants and cafés are available in the village and a small mini market, where fresh bread is served daily, is only a 2-minute walk from the apartment.
