Very good

All good but it can be noisy. We were on the 3rd floor. All the rooms doors are facing the inner terrace where people visit. That can be heard in the room. Also, the traffic from the busy street can be very loud. The free beer and snacks in the comfortable lobby is a nice touch. They do charge 550Y per bag per day to store luggage. Even for a couple of hours. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the station.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The room was OK, but the cabinet holding the mini-fridge was broken. This hotel advertises to be a party place. So all the alcoholic beverages in the mini-fridge are free, while bottled water costs 100 Yen. Strange. Also, the thing that is most bothersome is that they want to charge you for little things. For example, if you want to check in early, there is a charge. If you want them to clean your room, there is a charge. They even wanted to charge me $30 for holding a letter we had sent to us at the hotel. I refuted that one and they let it go.
One of the most unique hotels: A lot of the alcohol is free (self-serve draft beer in the lobby and 14 cans of free beer/mixed drinks in the room), but housekeeping and storing your bags before/after your stay cost money.
All-in-all though, this was a good hotel for the price.
I can’t believe its a two star hotel! The amenities are so nice, and they even held onto my luggage for me for only 550 yen for the whole day! It made it easy to explore knowing my bags were safe.
More motel than hotel. My door was facing an exterior hallway so traffic noise was loud in my room. Curtain was not sufficient to block light. Also room cleaning is not included so guests are instructed to bring used towels and trash to bins on 2nd floor or pay additional fee for cleaning. The lobby had lots of young adults hanging out as there is a complimentary snack/drink bar. Good size bathroom & shower.
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Be better if the in room mini bar had some non-alcoholic drinks in it. During my stay there was a fire alarm activation in the morning, there were no staff outside the building communicating with those guests who actually evacuated the building, which would have been useful. As it was guests were going back inside the building before an all clear had been given. and as the hotel has some open balconies visible from the street it was clear that a number of guests hadn't bothered to evacuate at all! I guess Darwinisim in action...
