Hotel, rooms, restaurant, location, and staff were fabulous! We chose to stay in Fussen as part of our stop to see Neuschwanstein. Glad we did! As a family of with 2 teens, we had two rooms. Both rooms were great and uniquely decorated. We rented e-bikes from the hotel and rode throughout the area. We drove to Neuschwanstein. We enjoyed walking through Old Town and loved the breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Will definitely return!

This is a boutique hotel right in the center of Füssen close to the Altstadt but in a location where it's also easy to do day trips. The amenities are amazing as is the restaurant breakfast and evening dining. The only caution is that if you are using the hotels parking garage be, aware that it's very tight. Luckily for us we had a modern car with all the Bells and whistles which helped.

If you are here in Fussen, you are here for one reason - The Castle. You picked a great place to stay while waiting for your timed entrance to the Castle (sp Newschwanstein). The rooms are efficient but comfortable. Beds great. Shower... I hate bathtub showers but it is ok. What makes this property great is the staff and the restaurant. It is a bargain at 130 Euro per night.

Very cute hotel in the center of town. Room is clean and in good size. It closes to the bus stations and the hotel will provide free bus tickets to the castles. There is a supermarket cross the hotel, which is very convenient. There are no coffee machine or kettle, no bottle water, no mini bar inside of the room. A small cup of coffee was 4.8 euro in its restaurant, if you are a breakfast person, best to eat the breakfast buffet, heard it’s good.

The hotel was lovely. Breakfast was great too. It was right near the old city center and very convenient for everything. We appreciated the free washing machine and the fact that we could get parking there even though we had not applied for it.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Sonne—one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced! From the moment I arrived, everything was exceptional. The design and accommodations were fantastic, blending style and comfort seamlessly. My room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The spa and restaurant were wonderful! The service throughout the hotel was kind, efficient, and welcoming, making my stay feel effortless and enjoyable. The dining was outstanding—every meal was a delight, and the breakfast was absolute perfection. One of the best parts was the location—just near the train station, making travel super convenient, yet still right in the heart of town. It couldn’t have been a better spot for exploring.
