Room was fairly clean. Living room furniture was not comfortable & outdated. Sliding door was broken and very difficult to open and close. Dryer lint catcher was broken, but they fixed quickly. Looks like they have been trying to update it, and they seem to be making progress. Dish soap, laundry detergent, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion are supplied. They say beach towels are included, but they are actually bath towels. Also, they say umbrellas and beach chairs are included. There are only like 4 umbrellas. There are about 8 beach chairs...a few short beach chairs and about half a dozen regular chairs. No loungers are available (for the beach,) so you have to lay on the ground. Would've been nice to know that continental breakfast is provided each morning, 7-10am. We were not informed and only found out when we heard other guests talking about it. Also, they have a hand drill to dig holes in the sand on the beach for umbrella posts, which we also didn't know about until we heard someone else talking about it. They provide these amenities but seem to keep it quiet. One of the staff members was rude. The worst was when she told my elderly, disabled mother and aunt, also disabled, to go all the way around the building to get to the elevator, instead of going through the lobby, so they didn't track in sand. They had washed their feet before entering the lobby. For able bodied people, sure, walk around, but a little compassion goes a long way.

Check-in and check-out was seamless, all of the staff were happy to be of assistance, rooms were clean, right on the beach. Walking distance to a handful of bars and restaurants. When we return to Fort Meyers Beach we will definitely stay at the Edison House again.

We enjoyed staying at the Edison House. The view was wonderful. The unit and grounds were clean and well stocked. The laundry facilities were really helpful. There were beach supplies to use and it is an easy walk to the beach.

Front desk staff was great. The room was just ok. Furniture in the “living” area is pretty uncomfortable but considering you don’t really spend much time there I guess not a big deal. The beds were comfortable. Air conditioners were loud turning on and off. Room could definitely use some renovations. Have to be super careful with the room key card. They deactivate way too easy and then you get locked out. Being right on the beach and close to restaurants and shopping was great.

Beautiful ocean view at an affordable price. Kitchen and laundry,equipped with everything we needed. The people at the front desk were friendly and kind, especially Annie. The elevator not working so hiking up three floors of stairs with our groceries and luggage was not ideal.

We had a partial beach view room and it was so beautiful to sit out on the balcony and just take in the views. Our door to the balcony was very hard to open/close (we notified the front desk) but we made it work. Plenty of room in the room and bathroom. While we didn't use the laundry, it was awesome that it was available. The beach supply closet was very convenient and had everything we needed and the kids loved that they could swim in the pool while still getting beach views.

It was wonderful to do laundry before we left to come home with all clean clothes. Such a treat. The beach view was spectacular. A couple of mornings we saw dolphins in front.

My granddaughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in October. Our room was so clean and cozy and having a refrigerator and washer and dryer was so convenient. The staff were all very nice. Parking was super easy. Would stay again!!

We had a fantastic stay! We loved the beach view the most. The pillows were a little too firm for us. The a/c worked great. The elevator was working as well. Many fun beach restaurants were in walking distance even though we went to Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grill just over the bridge. The room was very clean. The kitchen came with everything you need to cook your own meals. Publix is a few miles away so you’ll need to drive to get groceries. Fantastic overall experience!
