Recently renovated, nice to have airport shuttle since hotel is long distance from airport but it was a bit slow waiting to fill the bus at the airport and then it dropped others off at two hotels before Harrison. Breakfast was satisfactory. Didn’t use pool but it looked nice.

The heater didn’t work in our first room, the elevator was broken. Noisy very early in the morning and we had to ask for the dirty area rugs to be taken out of our room. We called Dow the next morning the the manager and he said he would refund our money. Then we were never refunded!

We enjoyed staying at the hotel for one evening on our way out of Florida from the fort Lauderdale area. The Hollywood section of Fort Lauderdale is not to be missed. We did not expect all the window shopping and quaint streets surrounding the area. We will be back.

This is a wonderful place to stay. They are doing some work to make it even better. Located in historic Hollywood, FL, there are many places to eat nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing that was an issue for us was the elevator was just outside our door and it was very loud. I’m sure this was only a problem if you are right beside it.

There were empty trays and no food for breakfast despite going back twice. We had to buy breakfast elsewhere. The TV remote control did not work because of corroded batteries. Corners of bathroom floors were dirty. You had to lift up on the door to engage the lock. Would not stay again.

If you are booking the hotel because of the airport shuttle, don’t bother with it. We called three times and waited about 1-1/4 hours for the shuttle to show up. (I do understand it appears they contract out the shuttle). Despite being up since 2:30 am we couldn’t check into our room early. In fact, it seemed more like the front desk girl just didn’t want to check in anyone as approximately 8 people sat around waiting for their rooms to be ready. At 4:00 the front desk clerk promptly left as we all sat there and the next guy checked us in. It seems that they could use a bit more of the hospitality and kindness at the front desk to run a hotel.

The room itself was adequately sized; however, the property felt more like a glorified motel than a hotel. Because the room faced the street, there was constant noise, including loud and rowdy guests in Room 413 who stumbled in between 3–4 AM, giving the overall atmosphere the feel of a short-stay motel. The property is in desperate need of renovation. Cleanliness was a major issue, and there were tiny bugs present in the room. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing.
