4/10 Poor

Good Stuff: Location was easy to find and check-in super easy. The apartment itself was clean and seemed ready. Publix is exactly a mile away, along with many restaurants. The back yard is completely enclosed, giving our chihuahua a very safe place to run. Neighborhood is nice. Not So Good: There were 6-8 full bags of garbage under the carport and several more stacked in the back yard. There is some maintenance that needs attention, including a shim under the front edge of the toilet. While there is a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, the only water or place to clean dishes is the other end of the apartment in the bathroom. There were two coffee mugs and some paper plates, but no utensils except some plastic knives. The Bad: The rental is in the rear section of a small house. Late in the evening on Sunday, we heard someone knock followed by loud talking, occasional loud thuds (?) and music with heavy bass. No biggie. We were watching tv and I expected the music and talking to end by 10 pm, universal rental quiet hours. Nope...it kept on going. I finally contacted the host around 11:45 and within minutes, the music was off and everything quiet. There was no apology or followup, which seemed a little unprofessional. I did receive an email the next morning about enjoying popsicles in the freezer, but there were none. With improved management, this could be a great rental. In the meantime, we booked a different place for our return to Ft. Lauderdale in April.
