It wasn’t quite what we were expecting, but honestly, it turned out to be a good experience. This is more of a boutique hotel with outdoor entries to rooms that’s upscale compared to what you would experience in a motel-type vibe. Room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable - our only downfall was that there was a weird smell and that the seal around the door was broken.
Hotel has a great location in downtown Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, short walking distance to Publix, restaurants and more. Close uber ride to Hollywood Beach, and complimentary rides to & from the airport.
1/29 UPDATE: Like most hotels, The Harrison requires you put a credit card down for any incidentals and once you check out, you’ll be refunded the full amount. Fake news. We noticed the charge still showing on our statement and when we spoke with the hotel, we were told that we’ll only be refunded a partial amount of our $152 because the other part of it goes toward the complimentary breakfast, the pool, the complimentary shuttle and the gym. None of this was disclosed on their website or while we were checking in. This should be included in the booking fee, rather than the incidentals/damages. Because of this, I changed my review on Google and Hotels.com.
