It was a great stay and very convenient! Only comment would be that at night it does get loud with nightlife, but otherwise a great stay!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
The staff was very responsive to my concerns and made checking in easy. That said, the "continental breakfast" is just prepackaged muffins and a mini box of corn flakes. Also, this was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. The mattress is two twin beds pushed together to create a queen, leaving an uncomfortable divot in the middle. The mattresses are also rock hard.
It's a good location close to he Duomo and plenty of shopping and dining. Very walkable and friendly service.
What a great location for visiting the heart of Florence! Our room was facing the street as in the photo and was great for people watching. The only problem, even though the windows filter out a lot of the noise is that there is a lot of action outside until late in the evening. Bring earplugs and you will not have a problem.
The best part was being so centrally located. It was easy to walk to all the important places, come back to the room to re-group and then head out again.
Awesome location right next to Duomo and the Piazza with many food options. Many of your must see tours are an easy walk (10-15 minutes) from this Hotel. I guess that is what you are paying for. It is way overpriced for what you get at the hotel itself.
The included breakfast is prepackaged stuff that i found to be not edible, except for the yogurt.
As it turns out, the Ambulance parking is right at the plaza itself and that creates a problem for light sleepers like me.
Overall, based on pics, reviews and cost, I expected more; but you can not beat the location
The location is perfect right by the duomo yet quiet at night. the room was large and had a terrific AC. the hotel owner was very nice and stocked the fridge with juice and pastries for each day. the wifi was perfect. just loved everything about this place. will definitely stay here again.
We were requested to let the hotel know of our arrival time and asked would someone help with or luggage. We did not receive any response. We were told that the hotel office would be manned till 8:00pm. We arrived at 5:30pm and the desk was unattended.
No wifi password was provided
Only one bath towel was provided for 2 persons. Had to use a hand towel.
Bathroom is incredibly narrow with very slippery bath shower and glazed floor tile, also bath had unacceptable amount of mould.
Fridge not cold the type you can not regulate.
Breakfast continental wasn’t anything great.
We loved our stay at La Residenza del Proconsolo. Adriana was super hospitable and made the check in/out process a breeze. The location cannot be beat, the room was great, and the continental breakfast provided in-room was better than expected.
The "hotel" is in a great location and is extremely central. It's more of a B&B (really just a room) but it suited our needs fine. The air conditioning worked great (the top priority for us in July!). We were expecting more than a single croissant in the room as part of the inclusive breakfast but as it's mostly just a room you're paying for (no real services or amenities available) it was just a case of adjusting our expectations. There are obviously plenty of cafes/restaurants nearby if you wanted some more substantial breakfast food. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably book again if we were in Florence.
A really nice little guest house with an absolutely excellent location, right on the edge of the Piazza del Duomo. Fairly basic but perfectly fine amenities; they don’t serve breakfast (at least not at the time we stayed) but there’s a kettle, tea & coffee and a mini fridge in the room. They’d managed to squeeze a bath into the narrow bathroom which was a blessing for our sore sightseers’ feet at the end of the day! It’s an old building in a busy block so there’s some noise at night; but we used a white noise gadget which solved any problems. On the other hand, there are excellent cafés and restaurants right in the same block which is great!
We would definitely stay again.
Loved this hotel. The location couldn’t be better. The room was spacious with a balcony looking out to the duomo. Great little cafe downstairs and centrally located for everything you could want to do. Susy was wonderful and very accommodating, we were not able to check in until after 10pm and she was there waiting for us with a smile on her face. Highly recommend and will be staying there again on my next trip to Florence
Hotel is amazing over all. I stayed 2 times in October and January and service is great and location is unbelievable!! I’ll definitely stay there again.
We loved our room. Spacious and clean. Well maintained old building and interesting features. A brilliant view onto the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore from our room and breakfast was served on the room. Its in the centre and short walks away to a lot of the wonders that Florence has to offer. Friendly staff at arrival and in the morning.
Location is good!! We can see Duomo in front of the building!! Unfortunately we stayed there on Friday, so until 2 am, neighborhood made noises like laughing, talking aloud, and music.
