We checked in & got keys. Upon opening the door to the room it stunk like cigarettes & was extremely run down. I won’t go into detail other than run down. Staff was friendly & did not make a big deal when I checked out. I did have to come back the next morning to “check out” and They did give me my $20 cash deposit with no hassle. You get what you pay for. We ended up at the Hampton Inn downtown for reasonable fee.

The room was not bad. It was clean and the Jacuzzi tub made the stay better.. T.V. was a liytle small for the room and made it hard to watch because it was across the room.My biggest problem was the $$ deposit I had to pay that was sprung on me when i went to check in. When i asked why the charge was not mentioned anywhere when i booked they told me " we put if you have any question call us" on the booking site. How would i know to ask if nothing is noted and i was told the room was booked conformation # and all.. I did receive it back at checkout but had I not had the extra money I would have been out a place to sleep or the ability to book something else because it takes days for money to refund.

Shower/tub is a slippery spot, waiting to cause a slip & fall. Tub has nothing to prevent a slip & fall . No handbars, nothing on tub surface to keep one from falling on wet slippery surface. No coffee maker, & NO CUPS

The room floors were unclean. Very tight with towels, there were 3 of in the room. Only one chair, 3 towels, 3 wash clothes and no hand towels. Had to call for clean towels and bedding. No full time cleaning staff, we had to bag our own trash and set it outside our door at night. The mattresses left much to be desired. The mattresses need to be replaced.The manager or owner was very nice and responded in a timely manner when we called with needs, like twice for the TV not working.

I mistakenly had the wrong date for our reservation (Travelocity puts in current date automatically) I notice it right away on the receipt. I immediately called the Inn. Receptionist said she couldn't make a change since the reservation was through Travelocity. I then called Travelocity. They called the Inn but couldn't do anything as a manager was not available. Travelocity said I would receive an email as soon as possible. I did received the email with the explanation that management could not do anything about it because the reservation date was passed. I am disappointed both in the Budget Inn & Travelocity. I will find another place to stay & will not be making anymore reservations through Travelocity unless this is properly cared for.
