We were very happy with our vacation at the RIU. The room was very nice it’s an incredible view of the Caribbean. We had several concerns at first, but the issues were quickly resolved. All the help, from desk clerks, to servers to maintenance, etc., were extremely polite and friendly. We certainly would recommend your hotel to others.

“All inclusive” is a lie!!! 1. Be aware that you have to reserve the restaurant 24 hrs in advance and reservation window close at 5pm. If you arrive around afternoon, most likely all reservations are full, and you can only eat buffet the next day. 2. Food is horrible and limited. We were lucky to get 1 reservation @ the Asian restaurant, but it’s limited to 3 mini dishes/person, ended up going back to the buffet. 3. No activities were open at all during our visit. Water park was closed. Out door activities showed open on the app, but the red flag was up which means no water sport activities are allowed. 4. Beach was dirty and rocky. The ground is not even, we learned the hard way and decided to wear shoes into the water, even so my legs were scratched up and bled because the big rocks in the water. 5. Pools are freezing cold. We paid extra for swim-up room, but the water is freezing we were not able to use it at all. 6. Bad room installation, you won’t be able to sleep after 8 am because you can hear everything. 7. Most staffs seemed very unhappy working there. 8. Trust the reviews, I didn’t think it’s gonna happen to us but I was wrong. I can add at least 10 more things to the list from our 1 day visit and 2 nights stay. We paid $2,500 for this entire trip (including economy round trip flights) but couldn’t do anything, eat any good food, neither have a good night rest. We are grateful that we are safe, and checked off this box, but we will never come back again

We stayed at the Aquarella for ten days in late January. Overall, the resort has beautiful grounds with everything you'd expect from a RIU location. The majority of the staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful - with a few minor exceptions. The biggest complaint we have is the elevators! There are not enough of them and they're tiny given the size of the resort. During busy times we sometines waited 10 minutes to get an elevator that had enough room to get down to the lobby. Just prepare and plan ahead when doing down that if you're on a middle or lower floor it may not be quick to get down to dinner. Food is just okay and we did get sick one day from the buffet. It's also fairly noisy if you like to get to bed early. Music and entertainment will be very, very loud until 1 a.m. so earplugs may be nice to bring with you if you like to get to bed early. The grounds could also use more trashcans around as you have to walk a good distance to try and find one. This resort is out of the way in a rural area -- just know that. You're not close to city amenities and most excursions are 90 minute ride away from the resort. Also, when planning your return to MBJ Airport just know the highway that you need to take can be congested due to accidents. I'd recommend leaving 4 hours before your flith time to ensure you make it on time. Overall, we probbaly wouldn't return to this RIU location but we throughly enjoyed our time in Jamaica.

I didn't like the entertainment. It needs to be better. A night club ould be great for adults after hours. Beach party was awesome. Food is awesome. I also wanted a king bed in my ocean view room and I got two doubke beds instead on my 13th wedding anniversary. My key car for my room stopped working from 11am. I coikd not get in the pack my things.

You can always find things you don't like, but they were minor, overall it was a great stay, with plans on continuing to use RIU for our carabean getaways.

Where do I start...I'll start by my hard head self should have listened to the negative reviews.Not only is the food horrible,but most not all but most of the staff attitudes are very unpleasant. I THOUGT THE RESORT WAS NICE .Then the red flags started waving ,the food the lack of amenities, the attitudes look stares.Lack of attention when you need basic things like water.Lets just say they made me never want all inclusive hotels again.Not only did my kid find a used tampon under the bed,she now has explosive diarrhea thanks to their food.i would highly not recommend this place .I have to be honest

It was difficult to make reservations at the specialty restaurants. Timing window to make reservations was very limited and sometimes the system said “due to restrictions reservations could not be made”. Sometimes the response said no times available. The guest room staff did not do well. We did not have face cloths nor hand towels. In-room coffee supplies were not complete. There was no hand soap.

The cleanliness, the staff was friendly and helpful. Could use more shops, and more variety of food at the pool cafes especially adding some fruit or sweets of some kind. But overall it is a great place and we had a wonderful time!!
