The Barns area and shops next door to the hotel were delightful. Nice restaurants within walking distance. Brandywine River Museum 3 minutes away. Wonderful. Various sites, from historic houses and gardens to the famous Longwood Gardens to Kennett Square all within 15 to 20 minute radius. Hotel rooms were very comfortable. Considering that breakfast was included in the price of the stay it was a typical "chain" buffet, but in a lovely sun-filled room. Only complaint had to do with the rugs on the floor of the hotel rooms. Too susceptible to being tripped over. There were two of them. I simply rolled them up and put them in a corner. Overall, excellent value.

This was my 1st time visiting Brandywine River Hotel, really enjoyed my stay. Room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, just wish there was some kind of meat. Exercise room was perfect, just need some direction and some free weights. Overall, really enjoyed my stay 8 out of 10 and definitely will be tell family and friend to go visit

The atmosphere when you enter is clean and decorated with flowers. Off to the right is the large and inviting breakfast area. There were stairs and an elevator, but also a flat incline to the first floor. We could easily roll our suitcases up which was very convenient. Our room was quiet and just right with two double beds. The only suggestion I would make is to have some gluten free/dairy free choices for breakfast ie. nuts or other plant based options.

Great weekend stay

Conveniently located, although I missed the entrance the first time through. My room was large and clean. "Continental breakfast" can mean many things; in this case it included a wide variety of bagels, muffins and pastries as well as a waffle maker, fruit, yogurt, cereal and hard boiled eggs. Mediocre coffee. Staff was efficient and helpful, common areas welcoming.
