The chalet GREAT BEAR is situated in a beautiful and very sunny setting, 10 minutes from the road. The wide open panorama offers exceptional views over the valley and all the mountains.

It is a typical family chalet, with charm and character, which we offer to people who wish to discover the most beautiful valley in the Alps. We ourselves go there regularly on holiday!

The chalet has everything you need for a great stay! Try our raclette oven!

The chalet is located slightly above the village centre, in the fields. The neighbourhood is ideal for people who like to have space and no direct access to a road (perfect for people with children!).

Important notes:
ACCESS TO THE CHALET IS ON FOOT, ~12MIN from the private covered car park in the centre of the village (parking included in the rental - IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO APPROACH THE CHALET BY CAR). We therefore recommend that you take adequate bags to transport your belongings to the chalet.
There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. The bathroom has a shower and a hair dryer. Conveniences include a coffee/tea maker and a sofa bed, and housekeeping is provided on a limited basis.

Summer Chalet Escape

Great Bear is a lovely chalet with breathtaking views in a unique environment. I cannot think of a better summer escape, given the stunning surroundings of the Val Hérens, the local cuisine, produce, meat products, and delicious wines. The chalet fits the rustic character of the tiny village perfectly, while affording the necessary comforts for an Alpine stay. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!

Chalet et lieu magique Mais communication avec le propriétaire catastrophique! Pas prévenu que l’eau du robinet n’était pas consommable, pas prévenu que des pack d’eau était dispo gratuitement à l’épicerie, lit pas fait et draps mis à disposition déjà utiliser par le client précédent (averti 4 jours plus tard par une dame gérant la location pour le propriétaire)

Gemütliches, einfaches Haus, schöne ruhige Lage. Der Zugang ist etwas schwierig (bei Nässe oder Schnee ist es recht mühsam, kein Weg sondern quer durch eine schräge Wiese). Ansonsten aber tolle ruhige Lage mit schöner Aussicht.

3 Tage Wallis auf der Rückreise aus Italien

Etwas abenteuerlich zu erreichen, aber gute Anfahrtsbeschreibung des Vermieters, toller Blick, schönes Tal. Bettwäsche und Endreinigung können dazugebucht werden, Handtücher muss man selber mitbringen.

Wunderbare Aussicht, perfekte Lage zur Erkundung des Wallis, schön ruhig gelegen

Die Aussicht von der Terrasse bzw Balkon von den Schlafzimmern ist wunderschön! Die Lage in Villaz ist perfekt, um das Wallis zu erkunden und zudem schön ruhig und abgeschieden.

Die Lage war wunderschön, der Ausblick hervorragend!!! Die Nachbarn waren sehr freundlich und hilsbereit😇 wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und unser Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genossen... Wir empfehlen es ganz sicher jeden weiter

Vue imprenable, chalet très confortable et typique

Chalet très sympathique et confortable, à chauffer au feu de bois (même si il y a de petits chauffages d'appoint) dans lequel nous avons passé un week-end très agréable. La vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique et le chalet étant un peu au-dessus de Villaz, on jouit d'une très grande tranquillité. A compter que le prix de la réservation n'inclut pas la facture d'électricité, ni le bois.
