The Hideaway - Private Mini-Farm Retreat for two

A quiet, private mini-farm retreat designed for couples looking to relax, unwind, and enjoy the outdoors—pets welcome.

Enjoy open space, fresh air, and a peaceful setting where you may see the mini cows grazing and wandering nearby or the ducks swimming in the pond. This is a calm, lived-in space best suited for guests who want privacy, nature, and a slower pace.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Due to livestock, dogs must be leashed outside at all times for everyone’s safety.

The space:
If you're looking for a quiet, grounded place to reset, this is it.

25-acre property, mowed paths, and some woods. 20 minutes from Dayton and Pikeville. About 50 minutes from Chattanooga and 75 minutes from Knoxville. a little over 2 hours from Pigeon Forge and under 3 hours from Nashville. A nice central location for seeing TN. There is plenty of fishing and hiking nearby. 2 golf courses within a few miles. Laurel Falls State Park is just down the road and Falls Creek Falls State Park is only an hour away.

The space has a private entrance and faces the pond, so you have complete privacy. Our area is Secluded and Safe.

If you do want to book with us, just a reminder that you are coming up on a mountain, and your signal can vary depending on where you are on your trip which can affect your GPS and making calls. We use Wifi calling on the property so please set up your phone accordingly. We ask that you check the directions before you head up and we will remind you the day of your travel to help keep you journey smooth.

We work very hard to keep the apartment clean and use pest control services regularly, but we are careful not to overuse toxic chemicals in and around the farm. With all that, a bug might sneak in. (IE: Spider, Lightening bugs, ants, or even a bee). None of these bugs are harmful and we are happy to remove them.

Along with bugs and critters, we also have wildlife such as Deer, Foxes, Skunks, Armadillos, Raccoons, Mice, Opossums, Eagles, Osprey, Blue and Green Herons, Otters and Muskrats, as well as others. Some wildlife we listed are never seen. Others, you will see occasional, especially in early morning or evening.

We can lose power up on the mountain like anyplace and will do everything to keep you updated if you have booked with us. That said, we have a small generator designated just for the Apartment which we can hook up, to allow the essentials to run in the space if it is going to be down for an extended period. Welcome to the great outdoors!

1.5 Bath, large master bedroom with King Bed.

50" Smart Tv and Local Antenna, Wi-Fi, even out on the large, covered patio.

Patio includes a Radio, Hammock, Fire Pit.

Fishing poles and paddle board available for the pond.

Other things to note:
You can check yourself in.

We are onsite, along with our dogs, cats, ducks, chickens and mini cow, if you need anything.

If we don't answer your message, don't be afraid to knock on the door.

We feed the animals a few times a day, and our pets love attention.

You may see us at the pond feeding the ducks, or walking the property, but we will make sure to give you plenty of room and privacy or come and hang out if you feel like a chat.

Dogs must be leashed at all times in the main living areas and around farm animals. No exceptions.

This property is not suitable for reactive dogs or dogs without 100% reliable recall.

We love our animals like family, and we know you do too — our goal is a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone.

Please reach out if you need to check in early or stay later so we can let you know if we can accommodate you. If it is more than 2 hours pre or post check-in or out, there is a 25$ additional service fee.

There is also an additional $25 fee for any lost keys.

To ensure we have the opportunity to make your stay as comfortable as possible, please let us know right away if anything isn’t right. If concerns are not communicated during your stay, we’re unable to offer refunds after checkout. If an issue arises that cannot be resolved on-site, we will address it promptly and appropriately.
