Great place

The window opened enough to lean out some to hear the seals barking and the fog horn, pretty cool. The breakfest room gets crowded, could also use more options. Overall a real nice place.

Okay but overhyped

Ocean view is way off in the distance. Barely hear the surf when it’s quiet at night. Room needed maintenance. No grout on the jetted tub tiles. Toilet handle sticks leaving toilet running. The continental breakfast was barely edible. Overall it was as okay but overhyped.

The rooms and furnishings were definitely old but it was clean. Breakfast was good and fast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Crescent City is a little bit sketchy especially after dark but convenient to the Redwoods.Overall a decent, no frills place to stay!

Visitors should know that there is a fog horn that goes off about every 8 seconds on foggy nights. Sound comes from outside into rooms. Chart room was a recommended restaurant nearby and it was great.
