The second gîte of 50 m², duplex, is connected to the first by a corridor. It is composed of a spacious mezzanine with 1 bed 160, giving access to a bedroom with 2 beds 90. Restored with old materials, it combines charm and authenticity with its stone porch, oak beams and traditional wall plaster. I collect or rummage through old objects and old agricultural or craft tools. For over 40 years I have been restoring an old farm in the Monts du Lyonnais, which houses the cottage, to restore its former glory using noble and old materials: oak, stone, lime, terracotta tiles, etc. Local granite stone is omnipresent. I cut it, I bush hammer it, I build (dry) stone walls, where you can hardly see the cement, I have redone a porch, fireplaces, stone jambs, etc. I am always happy to answer questions from tenants who are interested in the past and inexhaustible for those looking for a cottage with a real history and soul.
