I really wouldn’t recommend staying here. I had a unique experience, but that doesn’t excuse other issues with this hotel.
1. Halfway through my week’s stay, I had 3 cockroaches in my room, exploring and climbing, which is absolutely unacceptable on the third floor of a hotel. Big credit to the hotel staff who got me set up with a new room and purposefully put me entirely across the hotel, which made me feel better.
2. The level of “dirty” which is consistent throughout the hotel just isn’t great. The lobby is fine because it usually always is, but once in the room itself, dirty, sticky floors, a level of grime around all edges, broken or dirty door handles, janky chair at the desk, it just all felt kind of uncared for, like the bare minimum amount of cleaning is done and that’s it. The bed sheets were clean and so were the towels though.
3. The snack shop in the lobby had a handful of expired last year food. Respectfully, how do you not realize a pack of Skittles or M&M’s expired last year??
The staff was the best part of this whole experience. From checking in to switching rooms to getting towels, everyone was extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. They all deserve extra credit.
cockroaches in the room isn’t a common occurrence, I’m sure, but it still happened regardless, which made my experience much worse than it already was.
