Romantic Accommodation in Embarrass

Property was clean and location was great. Staff and breakfast were good. Cool older building, large rooms.

We were checked into a room that had a broken bathroom sink faucet we didn't get to use. Front desk staff were notified. The Wifi connection is also not good; it's really slow.

Was clean and quiet. Was more than big enough. Plenty of hot water. Mattress was a little lumpy.

Eat at the restaurant at the hotel. It was the best. I’ll never have better north woods biscuits and gravy. Chicken tenders, burgers, fries, ribs, chicken parm were also all so good. It was great.

If I could give this place more than five stars, I would. We booked this private lake lodge for my husband’s birthday, and it was exactly what we needed. The moment we arrived, everything slowed down. The stillness, privacy, and open sky are something you just don’t find anymore. This cabin is cozy rustic done right—warm, inviting, and thoughtfully put together in a way that makes you feel comfortable immediately. Every detail adds to the experience, from the peaceful lake views out every window to the quiet that surrounds you day and night. We brought his 18-year-old son, and he loved it just as much. Being on the water, unplugging, and having true peace and quiet gave all of us a chance to reset and actually be present together. The privacy is incredible—it truly feels like your own little world. The boat, dock, fire pit, and trees wrapping around the property create that hidden escape feeling that’s hard to describe. Mitch was an exceptional host—genuinely kind, responsive, and very accommodating. You can tell he takes pride in making sure guests feel welcome and taken care of. Everything was seamless from start to finish. I almost don’t want to leave this review because I’d love to keep this place to myself, but it’s too special not to share. We will absolutely be back.
