Set at the edge of the field with views of the Union River, The Poplar offers an elevated stay in the Maine woods.
Styled like a classic Maine camp with modern comfort and clean design, it sleeps four: a queen bed on the main level and a queen bed in the loft. A wall of windows frames the river beyond, with a hot tub, smokeless fire pit, and 1.5 miles of quiet forest trails just outside. Yet you`re close to Ellsworth, Acadia National Park, and the surrounding Downeast.
The Poplar Treehouse is equipped for comfort, quiet, and time spent well—whether preparing a meal, soaking under the stars, or watching light shift through the trees.
Inside, you’ll find a compact but complete kitchen with an induction cooktop, mini-oven, dishwasher, and essentials for daily cooking, along with a washer-dryer, small desk, high speed fiber internet, wood-burning stove, and mini-split heat pump. There is also a smart projector and portable screen for streaming and a few games.
Beds are made up with all-cotton Oeko-Tex certified linens. The bathroom is stocked with Public Goods amenities and extra-large cotton bath towels.
Outdoors, The Poplar includes a private hot tub, smokeless fire pit, propane grill, outdoor seating, and (April–October) a hammock. Private parking includes a Tesla Universal Wall connector that works with all J1772-compatible vehicles.
The loft is accessed by stairs.
Current rates reflect a discount as Arbor Camp continues to grow, and you may occasionally see or hear construction elsewhere on the property.

• Longer logs are for outdoor fire pits.

QUIET HOURS
Quiet begins at 10:00 PM to preserve the stillness of the woods and the comfort of all guests.
TOWELS & BEDDING
Extra towels are provided in the bedroom closet.
CHILDREN & FAMILIES
Families are welcome. Please bring your own portable crib or pack-and-play, as we do not provide these due to insurance reasons.
SMOKING
Smoking is permitted outdoors only. Please dispose of materials safely.
Smoking or vaping inside any cabin or treehouse is not permitted.
If indoor smoking or vaping results in odor, residue, or damage, guests are responsible for the actual cost of cleaning, deodorizing, repair, or replacement, plus a 10% administrative fee. If remediation requires the unit to be taken offline, documented lost revenue may also be charged.
PETS
Select units welcome well-behaved dogs. Dogs must be leashed outdoors and may not use beds or upholstered furniture. We are happy to provide a dog bed upon request.
By paying the pet fee, you also agree that dogs will not be on beds or upholstered furniture. If evidence shows a dog has been on beds or furniture (including excessive hair, stains, or odor), a $120 additional cleaning fee will be charged. If remediation exceeds $120, guests remain responsible for the documented actual cost.
EXTRA CLEANING
Guests are expected to leave the kitchen, grill, cookware, and premises in reasonable condition.
If extraordinary cleaning is required beyond standard turnover — including excessive food waste, heavily soiled cookware, or misuse of the grill — an additional charge of up to $150 may apply. If costs exceed $150, guests are responsible for the documented actual cost.
FIRE SAFETY & EMERGENCIES
A fire extinguisher and first aid kit are provided in each unit.
For emergencies, dial 911 and provide the property address listed in your arrival information.
