The curtains are rotted from the sun. The door would not open without a lot of strength and determination. This is definitely a safety issue. The air conditioning unit was discussing dirty and open to the outside. We had to put a towel on the one side to cover the exposure to the outside. In one room the air conditioning unit didn’t work. There is a lot of layered dirt throughout the rooms and building. I won’t stay there again and I certainly won’t recommend it to anyone. I felt dirty when I left. Sorry to be so blunt but this is about the worst room I have ever stayed in in my 65 years. It needs major maintenance and cleaning. The staff are great! T

Do not recommend!!

Lights didn’t work, couldn’t use the air conditioner it smelt damp and musty, the beds were awful and the water pressure in the shower was terrible. It was also very noisy.

Absolutely nothing! Dirty, cops there every night. Random people hanging around the entrance at all hours. Could never get thru to front desk when needing something. Called for hours finally someone picked up. Told me to track down cleaners for whatever I needed. No soap to wash your hand or extra toilet paper. Staff doesn't acknowledge you or even say hi when you walk in. Room key never worked. Everytime I went to use it had to get it reset. Blamed me for having it near my key fob which it never was near. When checking out they charged my credit card instead of issuing me my deposit. Gross experience. Dirty run down smelly hotel. Never again.

Absolutely horrible. Dirty and disgusting. Nothing worked, blow dryer nor TV. Had to hip check the door to get into the room. Pillows were lumpy. Stale musty and smoke smell in the room. Would not recommend to my worst enemy

I booked this hotel for a weekend stay with my family but was extremely disappointed upon arrival. The room we were issued was in an unacceptable condition — the carpet was stained, there was a strong unpleasant odour, and overall cleanliness was severely lacking. It was clear the room had not been properly maintained. We couldn’t stay in such conditions and had to check out immediately and book another hotel on the spot. Very disappointing experience and not suitable for families. Would not recommend.

No Frill hotel

Stayed here for a couple of nights and overall, it’s a no-frills hotel with a few highs and some definite lows. One standout was the shower - great water pressure and temperature, probably one of the best I’ve had at a hotel in this price range. Breakfast is very basic but appreciated for a quick start: soft-to-medium boiled eggs, toast, bagels, yogurt, apples, cereal (Vector and Frosted Flakes), cinnamon twists, juice, and coffee. Their sign mentions muffins, but we didn’t see any either day. Staff did a good job keeping things stocked. The location is excellent… easy access to pretty much anywhere in Edmonton and lots of food options close by. Front desk staff were pleasant, and it was nice to see them regularly checking in on the breakfast area. That said, the property does show its age. Burn marks on curtains, stains on towels and carpets, some burnt-out bulbs, and a general smell throughout the halls and room that’s hard to ignore. The noise is also a factor, you’ll hear everything from the hallway and even street sounds. Not ideal if you’re a light sleeper. We also noticed some people around the hotel that made us feel a bit uneasy. Beds were okay, nothing special but fine for a short stay. There’s no restaurant on-site, so plan to head out for meals. Unfortunately, I had quite a fall on the last day of our stay. The front desk lady was very kind and helpful in the moment; however, nearly a week later, I’m still waiting for a call from the hotel to discuss it.
