I had to cancel our edmonton trip on short notice due to sickness of my wife and grandmother. Property offered nothing. Most other properties will allow short notice cancellation. Book close to 200 hotel rooms a year for business myself and customers. This property only cares about money, not the customer.

This property needs some renos and cleaning, the elevator was broken, one of the treadmill was broken. I did not enjoy the stay. It did not feel like a "Marriott" hotel. More like a motel. Lobby is weird, no where to sit or hang out.

Inflated prices , taking advantage of two significant events happening that weekend,,, one being our companies annual function, extra fee for early checkin when A) in 20 years of staying in the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Edmonton ,, we've never had to pay one B) the room was already clean so no one was inconvenienced On top of inflated prices ,, one of the elevators was down,, The fish served to my husband for lunch was “ rubbery” ,, and rather overdone … we didnt stay for breakfast ….
