I’d rather sleep in an abandoned car

Staff is really nice. Hotel is extremely humid. Everything in my room with exposed metal on it had rust. My shower didn’t drain well and neither did my friends down the hall so assumed it was the whole floor. Neighbors above me brought their own stereo and the bass was crazy. Apparently nothing could be done by staff because they wouldn’t answer their door or phone. Was woken up by some dope trying to get in my room over and over at 4am. Renovations show really low quality work and whoever is doing it stores everything by the front door of the hotel. My toilet rocked back and forth against the floor. The bed has a massive divot. If you change the AC to heat that will set off the smoke alarm.

The whole place was under construction. There was noise and construction debris. Stair handrails were covered in a slippery plastic wrap which made them unable to be gripped. All hallways were also full of construction debris. Breakfast was a joke (a small basket of minimuffins and one of mini granola bars on the registration desk, overseen by the watchful eye of the person manning the desk, which is NOT breakfast). This property should have been closed while renovations were being made or at least the bad condition of the renovating property should have been made clear on the reservations online site.

The location is undergoing renovation, the rug in front of my door was not cut correctly yet, so there was a lip sticking up by the door sill. The reception area was cooled due to the floor tiles being replaced. Staff were kind and helpful.

There was no way to turn off the bathroom light. The light switch did not work at all, so the light had to stay on all day and night. The shower curtain rod was broken, and water got onto the bathroom floor. The dresser drawers were damaged, and the nightstand was completely missing the drawer. The tv was resting on the cable box, because one set of legs was missing. The mattress was so soft, we sunk to the middle of the bed. Very disappointed.

Pros: Clean remodeled room, nice staff, hot water, continental breakfast cereal, mini muffins, yogurt, juices. Cons: Air conditioning filter never been cleaned, faucet leaking (not caulked), lack of towels.
