*THE ESTATE & HOUSE*

As peaceful as it possibly gets - you have access to the whole Olea hill for yourself. This is the home of the calmness seekers, the freedom embracers, the savorers of simple moments. Everything is about reconnecting: with our loved ones, with nature and with ourselves.
Ideal for two couples, a group of 4-6 friends, a family with teens, or two travellers wishing exclusivity. Rented whole or per floor, with generous discounts for stays of 3+ weeks.

Our elegant vacation house watches over our 100-acres olive tree estate and the sea, 4.7 km from Gythio town and the closest beach. A getaway for relaxation with friends and an exploration hub throughout the whole year. Everything is about reconnecting: with our loved ones, with nature and with ourselves.

Olea has large spaces and plenty of natural light coming in - every room has large window. We have thoughtfully placed ambient lighting to make nights cozy, and retractable mesh screens in every door and window to keep insects out while letting the pleasant summer breeze in.

Cook delicious meals, enjoy food with good company, read, walk in our olive grove, take glorious naps, lay on the grass, pick up mulberries from our garden in May, listen to the bells of the neighbor’s sheep, climb a tree, listen to the birds, take a deep breath, feel free and enjoy. This is Olea.

Menta is our ground floor and Kissa is our upper floor. Each floor is autonomous, with its private entrance, one double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, and a living/ dining room.

Menta also has a small office room with a sea view, and a fireplace.

Kissa can sleep 2 extra people in the extendable sofa beds.

The two floors are linked through internal wooden stairs but you can choose to keep them separate by closing the stairs' trapdoor.

We stand for slow life, stripping the unnecessary, and creating space for meaningful, carefree memories with our loved ones. So park freely, settle in, enjoy the outer spaces around the house, stroll in our olive estate. The forest awaits at the edge of the estate in case you're feeling adventurous.

*CHECK-IN*

You will be welcomed during check-in by Eleni, the owner of Olea, or via self-check in. Our farmer, George, visits the estate regularly to care for our olive trees. Neighbors' cats and dogs may also roam around the house, but they are friendly. We suggest you don't feed them, but you can give them some water as Greek summers can get really hot.

*AREA*

The closest beaches are Selinitsa (5 km from Olea) with its unofficial nudist area at its left end, Valtaki (9 km) with its famous shipwreck and Mavrovouni (7 km), where you can try surfing. Vathy and Skoutari are beautiful sandy beaches.

*EXCURSIONS*

Gythio is an ideal hub for at least three alternative trips:

You can either explore the region of Mani (the central “leg” of the Peloponnesian peninsula) and visit Areopoli, a picturesque town, and the impressive Diros Caves.
You can head north to the city of Sparta (45 km) and visit the medieval town of Mystras nearby. Sparta’s mountain, Taygetos, has charming nature during the summer and scattered villages with delicious Greek food for you to discover.

You can also head towards the eastern Peloponnesian “leg” for the pristine Elafonisos island (can be visited by ferry and, in my view, its Simos beach is the most beautiful beach of Greece). On your way back, head towards the unique-of-its-kind medieval island fortress of Monemvasia.
