Escape to our cozy, dog-friendly retreat with a hot tub, high-speed internet, and AC—just 3 minutes from Lake Charlevoix’s beach and close to Boyne, Schuss/Shanty resorts, golf, and nearby up-north favorites. Perfect for multi-family stays, the home sleeps up to 14 with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths and features an open concept main floor with 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, and a fenced backyard for everyone to relax and unwind including your fur-babies.

Step into an open-concept living room with a 65” smart TV and quaint reading nook, seamless flow into the dining area and fully stocked kitchen. Everything you need to cook for a crowd is provided — pots and pans, bakeware, oil/Pam spray, variety of spices, and cooking utensils. The coffee bar is equipped with both a traditional coffee maker and Keurig, a variety of whole Bean coffee and teas to enjoy plus a variety coffee creamers and sugar are provided.

The property was all that was described and more. It was the perfect setup for our big family with a well stocked kitchen and enough seats for everyone. The toy closet was a pleasant surprise for the small children on our group. The fenced in backyard provided a safe place for the kids to play. The location was perfect for the event we were in town for. Thank you for providing such a welcoming and homey place for us to stay. We would book here again if we are in the area!

Family Vacation

My husband and I searched for a place to stay that accommodated my parents, my three adult children, their spouses/significant others and three grandchildren under the age of 5. This home was perfect! The location was close to our day trips which included Boyne, Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Mackinaw Island. Putting the family of five in the "apartment side" was ideal. It is connected to the house with an adorable bookshelf door my grandson referred to as the secret door. Everyone loved the hot tub in the back and we had s'mores by the fire several times. The summer home had everything we could think of and more. It is a very well thought out home and everything we needed was provided. I am sure we will return in the future. Michigan summers are the best and the location of this home allows easy access to so many places that I highly recommend it to any family looking to make many memories!

We had a large group of people coming from several states to East Jordan for a family Wedding at the Boathouse. This location was close by to visit through out the day as we needed. Had couple small stores and a gas station very close by for anything forgotten. We had ample parking for everyone arriving separately.The house was just as it's pictured. Everything listed was stocked for our use. We had plenty of seating inside and outside & used all 5 Sleeping areas! The Fur baby features were cute & appreciated as well. The Bunk room with a stock of toys, games and sleeping bags in the closet was a delight for kids to discover after a long car ride. This was 1st Vrbo rental experience and everything went great with the whole visit & 10 guests left here happy with our stay!Our Host Julie was a great communicator before, during and after our weekend stay.

Quick family get away

We had a truly wonderful stay at this Vrbo! The home was ideal for our large family, which included both young children and teenagers. It was so well stocked – from the incredible coffee bar (the best I’ve enjoyed at any rental!) to the kids’ room, which had a perfect selection of toys for toddlers and young children. All the beds were comfortable, and everything in the house was so clean, organized, and clearly labeled, making our stay feel effortless. One of my initial concerns was staying in a pet-friendly home, but I was relieved to find you’d never know a dog had ever been there – it was spotless and smelled fresh. The separate in-law suite was perfect for our Au pair and teenage daughter to share, giving them both a bit of space and privacy. The location was also fantastic, and we enjoyed gathering around the amazing dining table each night, as well as relaxing with the Roku TV. Every detail made our family feel right at home, and we look forward to visiting again! Thank you for an outstanding experience.

Absolutely Amazing!!

This house is one of the NICEST vacation rentals I’ve stayed in. The owner is wonderful and extremely accommodating. Definitely went ABOVE AND BEYOND in more ways than one! There was a small issue that was NOT at the fault of the owners, but they did everything they possibly could to remedy the issue. And they made themselves available to us late into the evening to ensure everything was fixed. Beautiful home and very welcoming which allowed us to feel at home. The kids and dogs enjoyed the toys provided for each and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. The layout and room set up allowed for everyone to be able the have their own space and quietness when needed/wanted. We will definitely look at this property’s availability the next time we are in the area.

Family weekend away

Home away from home

All you need is your family and friends to stay at this house. Excellent clean house with everything you need to enjoy your getaway. I was impressed with the extra towels and sheets provided for your four legged friends. Our teenage kids loved having their own space in the attached apartment area.

Family Ski Trip

Amazing! My family went up during the holiday and we had an amazing time here. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t in our favor for our ski trip but we made the most of it and it was nice having a clean place to come back to and spend family time together. The house is very spacious and had everything we could think of. Definitely would recommend to other friends and family. We loved our stay here! The hosts were very nice and welcoming!

Family Haven

We were from all over the US attending a family wedding in East Jordan. We did not expect to find a location that would accommodate our extended family and a dog - The Summer - Winterland Retreat exceeded our expectations. We took advantage of both kitchens, all the bedrooms, and common spaces. Our hosts thought of everything; coffee, cookware, dishes, games, and wine glasses (even frozen ones). They took the mystery of finding things out of the equation, it is all labeled! Extra blankets and throws for those cool nights. I cannot say enough about this home.This property is an excellent solution for a family or group of friends. We did have a couple of questions for our hosts, they responded immediately! If we need to be back in the area - this will be our go-to place.
