Great place to stay. Close to everything when you want to get out and about with your family. Our room had an odd smell and the bathroom smelled like someone had recently puked in it. Otherwise the room was nice. We aired it out and did a bit of our own cleaning to eliminate the funk.

Staff was great at check in, very helpful and gave local recommendations. Our room stunk like dog urine, it was so strong. I understand it’s a pet friendly hotel but it was unbearable. I went to the front, staff was very courteous and helpful. They gave us a different room but later rescinded due to finding out it was occupied and previous staff did not check them in. There were not any other suites available so we spent as much time outside the room and front office provided a room spray for the odor. I should get refunded- that was disgusting. Staff was very kind and apologetic though, no complaints about the customer service.

Check in was fine until day Saturday when I came back from running and couldn’t get in my room! When I went to the desk they said they would give me a one time curiosity enter but check out was at 11am! I said I paid for two nights! After looking into things me he said oh yeah and have is new cards! A little frustrating

I was only at this property for about 6 hours. Pulled in after 11pm and left a little after 6am the next morning. The Room and the front desk staff were both fine. However, the staff in charge of the Breakfast area really ticked me off. I was told at checkin that breakfast started at 6am. Since I had to leave again so early, I was planning to be there right at 6, and then hit the road. At 6:10, the breakfast area still wasn't open. I opened the door to enquire about how much longer, and got yelled at for opening the door. When I asked again how much longer, he ignored me. By 6:25, the breakfast area still wasn't open. I couldn't wait any longer, and left without my "complementary" breakfast. I wasn't the only one unhappy over this. There was a construction crew waiting for breakfast as well, who also had to leave without eating. Because of this one staff person, I will not stay here again, and will not recommend it to anyone traveling through.

I love this La Quinta location. 10-15 min from any Duluth item you have on your list, but yet out of the craziness that can be canal park. Quiet and always clean.

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are a good size. We loved that they allow dogs. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants close to the hotel. The front desk young man was very personable. This was our second stay at this hotel and we would definitely stay there again.
