The house is beautiful and well maintained. It is a fun opportunity to imagine life in one of these beautiful old homes from the 19th century. A wonderful breakfast was served Saturday and Sunday. Simon was great. Friendly and full of tips and ideas to help make the most of our time in Dubuque. We stayed in Florence’s room, which had great views of the city, and the bed in the turret with curved windows all around. We would highly recommend staying here.
It was close to everything. We recommend the River Museum, the Riverwalk and Stonecliff winery, hiking at Mines of Spain and viewing eagles at Eagle Point. The murals were great, the Riverlight bookstore Sorpresa shop were interesting. Enjoyed good meals at Caroline’s, Dubuque Mining Company and the Copper Kettle. Loved the architecture in Dubuque.
