Always a comfortable stay

Large, clean lobby entrance. Accommodates those with larger luggage. A comfortable place to sit to read or watch television. Polite, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful staff at check in. Clean rooms and a reasonable price. Good water pressure which is always a criteria of mine. Have stayed here multiple times while visiting relatives and attending events. Large parking lot and easy to find just off roadway. Eateries close by. Sparse breakfast offerings but can find something to enjoy.

The bed and linens were clean. The milk at the breakfast bar was sour. The walls were patched poorly in the bedroom and there were random scuffs and flecks of paint on the wall. The telephone was missing buttons. The carpet was old and smelly and the curtains were old and damaged. There were a bunch of random, single men staying there, which made me uncomfortable. It’s an ok place in a pinch, but I felt a little uncomfortable as a single female traveler.

Sitting chair in room was worn and holes in the arm. Patches all over the walls. Smoke detector unassembled, assuming non working. Phone non working. No coffee or shampoo in room. Assume pool has been non working for some time. Breakfast appears to be from Walmart. Bread, bagels and Hostess mini chocolate and powdered donuts. A gallon of Great value brand milk to be shared. Toilet paper was also not individually wrapped. Staff was in athletic pants and sat at entrance on step for check out.

When we arrived the building was not secured. We arrived approx 11:30 door unlocked. Breakfast was very unappetizing. The highlight was instead of normal donuts they had little Debbie's out of the bad. There was no fruit and the highlight was the waffles and they were only good because of the star cooked into it.we were given the wrong key at first Then we couldn't even watch TV because even tho we had 2 remotes and they both worked to turn it on, neither would access any channels. We have stayed at American Inn many times over the last decade. The room was adequate, the TV remote was a two remote process that did not work-one channel only viewable. The breakfast bar was the poorest they had ever served over the years. Only starches and cereal available. Prior times there were protein options like yogurt, boiled eggs, and sausage as well as further breakfast pastries. Somewhat disappointed this visit.
