Great location - lots of stairs

Nice, clean apartment with beautiful balcony. But be ready for stairs (we didn't mind). About a 5 min walk to Pile Gate. It was a very hot day when we arrived and the host met us with two cold beers. Much appreciated!!

Comfortable Stay in Dubrovnik

The apartment was clean and quiet. The air conditioning worked very well. It is small but has a washer/dryer, basic kitchen equipment and met our needs for a place to sleep for two nights. The owner/manager met us at the door to let us in and give us the keys to the apartment. It is located in a pedestrian only area very close to the Pile Gate of Old Town and the cable car to Mount Srd. It is a bit of a hike elevation wise from the street. However, in a hillside town like Dubrovnik, if you want an apartment in a flat area you will be a long way from Old Town and the main sights. Being close allows you to go early or late to Old Town and miss the tourist crush from the cruise ships. A lot of restaurants and cafes in the Old Town and a small market a 10 to 15 minute walk from the apartment. The beds were reasonably comfortable - one in a bedroom and the other a fold-out couch. The four stars for location was just for the hike up the hill. The neighborhood seemed safe and primarily locals lived there.
