The hotel is well kept, and the dinner menu is fantastic. The hotel staff are really helpful, especially as I had just lost my Wallett and the Hotel manager and staff went out of their way to help. Fantastic service and understanding and Hospitality given to a stranger to this area. Second visti to this hotel and will always come back and will definitly recommend to others

The staff and services were excellent overall. However, on one morning, we were woken up two hours earlier than the designated breakfast time, which was unfortunate as we had a late night prior — though this was likely a one-time occurrence. The only other drawback was that the walls appeared to be quite thin, allowing sound to travel easily between rooms and from the corridor, with conversations inside the room being clearly audible from outside.

Better options

Stayed here as we needed a hotel with parking. The parking was good and the rooms have been refurbished but that’s where the positives end. 50 mins from city centre so not convenient, food on dinner menu claimed hand battered fish, it wasn’t and was clearly frozen pre prepared fish. Worst of all no hot water in the morning. After mentioning to lady on desk didn’t say a word and walked off then a manager appeared. Was apologetic, said would be compensation and they had our details. Guess what two weeks later nothing. Overpriced and inconvenient avoid!

Mechanical issues with an attitude.

We booked 2 nights even though we just wanted to check in early day two. Upon arrival, our room was 13 degrees Celsius and the heat wouldn’t turn on. Had to call the desk, they reset the system. Heat worked for about an hour and shut off. Needed reset 2 more times with calls to the front desk until I was able to turn the unit back on myself. The unit also made loud splashing sounds each time it did restart which it does frequently because it programmed to shut off every hour or two to conserve energy $$. Before we checked out, we planned to shower. Shower diverter didn’t work so we took baths. When I explained everything at checkout, I was told that she could have fixed the shower issue if I would have called and dismissed the fact that the unit would slip into standby mode and she could have fixed that too. I called three times, wish she would have. No apology, no nothing except attitude. Would not stay again.

Weeks prior to arriving at the hotel we reached out multiple times to ask questions and never received a response. Also, after our stay, I left something at the hotel of value and called multiple days in a row to not receive a call back. The day we arrived someone had broken the glass on the front door of the hotel. The area did not give a feel of being safe as there is a casino under the hotel, and many local people just hanging out in the parking lot.

Cleaning ladies arguing

Cleaning ladies were arguing in front of my room early in the morning and when I asked them to stop they did not. Then later I returned to my room to find they entered even tho I put the do not disturb sign on my door. When I asked the front desk about this they told me they were “night shift and couldn’t do anything about it”
